Will this team win the superbowl? (hint: no)

I'm hoping another one of these threads will lead to me being proven wrong again.

But in all honesty, the Steelers cannot stop the Bengals. They will be one dimensional without Bell and Williams, against a good secondary.
The patriots will play the Bengals and there are too many questions on our offense for us to thrive against that defense. Even if our line held up and Edelman played up to Edelman-levels, the game right after would be heading into Denver, somewhere the Patriots have shown they cannot win. Denver is not going to lose to KC or Houston. And if we got through that? Arizona or Carolina.

Patriots vs Bengals.
Denver vs KC/Houston.

Denver is going to the superbowl and they'll beat either the Bengals or the Patriots to get there... I think Carolina has the best chance of stopping them in the Super Bowl.

If we had the #1 seed, it would be a different story... This was always about who got the #1 seed, NE or DEN. Same story as almost every year since Manning went to Denver.

To the babies on this board:
no, i am not a troll because we disagree.
keep your personal insults to yourself.
yes, i do support the patriots and hope i am wrong.
no, i wouldn't rather be right than see the patriots win the super bowl.

if you tell me i'm wrong and stupid, i expect you to come admit your stupidity when this plays out how i expected.

I appreciate your humor! Taking the dislikes for the good of the team

No ban necessary guys, just don't post here and let his threads drop. They make my head hurt.

(Sorry for contributing to it here, won't happen again.)

Reminds me of the media statements continuously made. Two teams often mentioned as ones no one wants to play; the Kansas City Chiefs and the Pittsburgh Steelers. BTW, both teams advanced as wild card teams. If New England became a third choice, which team would you want to play against? How about playing any of the playoff teams?

I would not want to have to play against the New England Patriots.

If advancing to the AFC championship game -- like the Indianapolis Dolts -- is a priority, then worrying about match ups is certainly a valuable pastime. If winning the Super Bowl is the goal, however, be prepared to have to play your own game and not worry about who you are playing.

You're off to a great start, I have to say.

I watch who teams are playing as teams match up better with some then others. For example, I prefer not to be matched up against the NY Giants. This is not about hanging banners for making the playoffs, but a response to the numerous commentary regarding teams no one wants to play. We've heard the Patriots are vulnerable (which they are), but no team wants to play them. That was my point.

don't completely agree with this. we've seen first hand how important playoff matchup can be. if you match up poorly with a team, you can be in trouble. do you realize how close we were to losing to the ravens last year? that whole playoff run/SB almost didn't happen last year. that would have been the end. no matter how good we could be as a football team. we hit a tough matchup and almost lost. it only takes one. then the next week we got our best matchup and laughed our way to the SB

There's nothing wrong with thinking that the Patriots won't win the Super Bowl. In fact, given the injuries and the way the team has played over the last 6 weeks, I have my doubts as well.

But with that said, if you look at the posting history of the OP, it's clear that Interception really enjoys being a contrarian.

I cannot avoid laughing every time I see your username. Is is a Caddyshack reference, correct?

I agree, Patriots won't win. Too many injuries, O-Line is the worst I've ever seen here. I'm tempted to say Tom Brady has already won his last Super Bowl. But it's fine with me. That last one was the sweetest and validated all the years of success. It solidified Tom as the greatest ever. Everything else is gravy

Thanks for the heads up I'm new here been lurking for a while, will take some time to learn the nuances of the board.

How the Hell does this innocuous and innocent Post get a "Dislike", Interception??

Guy's got 5 or 10 Posts, says "Hello", and BAM!! Here comes The Wrath!!

Dislike!! Dislike!! Disagree!! Jury Duty, Jury Duty!! Chain Letter!! BlackMail!!

Well, at least this bizarre Passive Aggressive behavior of Quantum Mechanic and Interception is entertaining, I suppose...in a deeply disturbing Jaws 4: The Revenge kind of way!!

As for our new Poster/Long Time Lurker...

Welcome to the BrotherHood!!

LMAO... Thanks for the welcome.

The Chiefs Defense has coaches that coached with Rex with the Jets, right? After last years game, maybe he knows Brady as well as the Jets did and understands how to gameplan against him a bit better.
I don't think this will be an easy game at all and feel like the Chiefs will win.

After CIN basically gave the game away and Big Bens injury, I think DEN has the best chance for the Super Bowl.

So that's my pick, unfortunately. Denver to the championship. Please reply with your "clever" comments about how dumb I am if you disagree so we can revisit them in the next two weeks.

I just want to know why in gods name people keep bringing up a game from last year? Has 0 effects on this game 0 KC didn't even make the playoffs last year. Regardless Denver isn't winning 2 games with manning.

I wouldn't pick the Chiefs over the Patriots, period. Certainly, would not pick the Chiefs over the Patriots due to last year.......(World Champion New England Patriots). If the Patriots lose, Denver wouldn't be very high on my list. Now, is when one brings "history and Manning" into the equation.

They've won much more than 2 straight with manning this year. He hasn't had to play at an all pro level to do that.

Dislike it all you want troll the question still stands. You take sh.t after sh.t on this team, and you are always wrong but try to pretend like you actually know something. You have about an 80% likelihood of being right about someone other than the Patriots winning the Super bowl but strut around as if you are making some bad ass bold prediction. Why don't you take your stupid troll act somewhere else, it's grown very old here. What a loser.

Dislike that @sshole.
