I've been missing him so far this preseason. Our secondary has looked like garbage in the first quarter of the last two games. Of course, I will get blasted for saying this but there is no denying it: complete garbage. However, if you go back and look at my posts, I predicted this just because there has been so much change in this area in the offseason. I also predicted that the secondary will get better as the season goes on. Let's pray I'm right on the latter.

Amen. BB and Pioli will not slash your tires if you say somthing positive about a player who the let go. Did I want to pay him that money? Hell no, but I think they should have locked him up 3 years ago at a reasonable rate. The guy is a stud and the only pats CB who can play man at the LOS.

When have you ever seen Samuel effectively play MAN???

I see it the exact opposite, I think the defense will play well against the poor offenses (KC, Jets, Miami, etc.) and then get shredded by Manning. They may score enough points to win but the defense will have its hands full.

Hard to tell really, but based on speed and youth, veterans, and Capers, finally having a chance to jell, I Believe they'll be a better unit compared to last year. Barring injuries of course.

It is hard to tell, we all know what opinions are like... everyone has one. I think the defense is rebuilding a bit this year and I expect the overall stats to dip a little. The 2007 defense was damn good, 4th best in the NFL and the best defense in the playoffs. That is a hard act to follow.
