he may not escape comparisons from those looking for an easy column.....but he will forge his own Patriot history based upon his skills.....and it will be sweet!

Comparisons to Welker are an enormous compliment to Edelman.
It is the flip side where so many think Edelman stepping in for Welker is little to no drop off that is an insult to Welker who the last 3 years only produced the best 3 year span of any slot WR in NFL history.
Edelman caught 2 TD passes in his first ever playoff game. Personally, Im expecting even bigger and better things out of him than Welker. Maybe that's unrealistic, but this kid hasnt even begun to scratch the surface of his WR talents, imo.
