Simple question. I say he does because of the easiness of the rest of the schedule. He only needs 2053 yards in 7 games which means he needs about 293 yards a game. Also, why is this so under the radar?

293 yards per game is an awful lot for any quarterback. Especially if we cruise through the rest of the schedule without the defense (which is coming along, despite what some say) giving us any late scares in games, starters may get some time off late in games.

I say no, our passing game usually slows down late in the year, yardage-wise. This is the time where efficiency and balance needs to come into play, not one-dimensional 40+ pass attempt games unless we're abusing a terrible secondary.

It will be close. I would say Brees has as good as chance as Brady to break it so I could see either one, maybe both or none at all breaking it.

I start to admire Marino's records more and more as the years go by. Especially in the era he played in. Even though he was a dolphoon, I still got mucho respect for that season of his.

I'll say no because of the weather late in the season

No because he won't need to.

I think if that the teams goal then he easily could do it.

I think one area where the weak schedule helps is it gives a chance to use and develop the running game a little more. Get some nice leads, pound, coach, improve for the playoffs. So that's where I see the fall-off coming for TFB.

I don't think this is really under the radar -- lots of folks mention that there are three QBs on a pace to break the record (Rodgers and Brees too). Though it was odd that Peter King had Brees ahead of Brady in his MVP race because "No quarterback through 10 games of an NFL season has thrown for more yards than Brees' 3,326 this year." Ummm ... Brady actually has a higher per-game average, through nine games.

I took you question to my magic eight ball and it said.

Sorry, not very helpful.

yes but Drew Brees will end up with more yerds and will hold the record

That's a record I'd care less about him breaking. I'd rather see less than 4000 a year with low INT totals than so much passing. Wear teams out with the ground game since we have so many backs at our disposal.

Brees has the best shot, as he's in the dome. Brady and Rodgers have to play in the elements the the last 6 weeks.

GB on has one indoor game left @DET. 5 of their remaining 8 are at home. The other two are @KC and @NYG. While KC rarely gets snow, they do tend to have pretty crappy weather late in the season.

NO has 5 of 6 remaining in a dome (4 home, one @MIN) and one in the mild weather of TEN.

All 7 of our remaining games are outdoors, all 7 are in places where foul weather is a possibility. 4 @ Gillette, @PHI, @DEN, @WAS

EDIT: I hope to hell Brady doesn't break this record. I want them to start pounding the damn ball as of NOW!

I don't know whether he'll break the record, but people were talking about it after the first few games, but not so much after Pittsburgh and NYG...guess it will get back on the radar screen now...

It's under the radar because Rodgers is playing on a level above Brady this year.

Interesting note, the team with the NFL's passing yard leader has never won a Super Bowl.

Just having a lot of backs doesn't give you a good ground game.

this is a testament to marinos greatness...
brady won't break it though imo

Warner didn't lead the league in 1999? And things like that are so misleading because Brady and the Patriots had a Super Bowl won and the overated defense gave it away to the Giants.

Honestly, I hope he breaks it...He would have the touchdown and yards record...

How was the defense overrated.?.It played as expected. Everyone called for the SB to be a shootout..
