Listen Moss was a great player for us. But we all know Moss does not like to get hit. Everyone has seen the
2 hits Merriweather laid out the last 2 weeks. Does BB play some mindgames and nudge Merriweather to let Moss kniw he's looking for him?
"Brandon, you know how upset I was over that illegal hit and 15 yd penalty vs the Birds. You might wanna tell your former team mate that you've been told NOT to hit his head and that all your forthcomming ESPN game highlight hits and those of the other safties will be focused below the neck by intent so as to avoid injury, he should keep thinking every play to NOT suddenly duck as you slam him from behind."
BB or Patricia should hopefully be telling the team to lay a big hit on Moss right out of the gate so he turns into an alligator for the rest of the game or starts pouting to the point where he is mentally no longer in the game.
I also expect whoever ends up on him to shade him on the outside and to use that or any other means to force him towards the middle of the field where he is less effective than on the outside where he can always step OOB to avoid the nasty hit.
If Meriweather sees a chance to do it, I hope he does. As I see it, though, he better do it the first chance he sees. Moss doesn't go over the middle nearly enough for him to get a lot of opportunities.
I can't imagine McCourty being ready yet to cover Moss in mostly one-on-one like Vontae Davis and Cromartie did earlier in the season. I think he'll be getting a lot more safety help then those two did. If Favre tries to force it to Moss, I can't imagine it being a good thing. He'd be better off checking down to Peterson and Harvin.

I agree. I cannot see the Pats leaving McCourty on Moss one on one with no safety help over the top.
About the BB and Meriweather thing, I cannot see BB specifically telling Merriweather to do anything, but I can definitely see Merriweather laying a lick on Moss the first chance that he gets. Like what other people have said he better do it the first time, because there may not be a second
On a side note, it's important to recognize that Moss knows the Pats' offense inside and out, maybe better than anyone but Brady. Does it worry anyone else that that's a whole lot of inside information in the opposing locker room? The one consolation, really, is that the Vikings' staff might be too stupid to implement any of it.
