BB loved him some Jimmy G that is obvious.

- When asked about Brady’s durability when except for 2008 he hadn’t missed a single game due to injury BB managed to pivot to praise for Garoppolo. “Jimmy could go out there and run everything that Tom can run. It’s really seamless”

Seamless? SMH. Wow.

BB blew up a huge photo of the Patriots defending the Colts goofy fake punt as one of the year’s highlights for everyone to laugh at. Lol

BB when asked to do some NFL appearances leading up to SBXLIX - “Fcuk the league”. Well said.

Overall I think there’s not a lot of new info from that whole story here that we didn’t already know. Including Brady feeling completely alone against the league after watching Kraft pucker up and smooch Goodell’s ring.

Reading about how the Pats won XLIX again is awesome. DH might have saved the game stopping Lynch at the 2.

Wickersham sticks with the BS narrative around deflategate like how the balls were noticeably “soft” none of the Colts balls were under 12.5 PSI

On the “read the rulebook” quote
- Harbaugh was livid at those comments
- BB apologized to Harbaugh for Brady’s comments. Why would BB apologize? Dumb
- Some of (Harbaugh’s) friends were outraged about that on his behalf and wanted more than to just abolish that formation (which would happen eventually) “They wanted revenge”

There you have it. As BB says: Fcuk the league

Brady blamed himself for the Pollard hit that KO’ed him for the 2008 season. Felt he didn’t “train his knee” to take these kind of hits.

I would just like to acknowledge we have a real trooper among us. To be able to continue posting between bouts of soup ass is something most of us couldn’t even fathom.

I decided to buy it, too, since it was $12 on Kindle. I jumped to 2014 and have read a few chapters. There’s so much filler in here with recaps of things we’ve already seen and read…not much in the way of new content.

As @sb1 points out, the Deflategate summary is absolute garbage. Once again it’s sympathetic to his obvious source, either Jonathan or Early Bird Bob. Which I assume is why he tries to make it seem like a Rubik’s cube mystery which would fool anyone.

Wickersham also fails to mention the explanations later revealed that Brady didn't know Jastremski because he didn’t know his last name and called him his nickname (I think it was “Bird.”) He “denied” knowing him only briefly due to confusion; such a dumb question to begin with to ask if he knows his equipment managers.

Mentions Goodell’s claim that Brady denied talking to the ball boys, which was later revealed by unsealed documents to be a ball faced lie and was the exact point where the public saw Goodell as less credible than Brady.

Only nugget is Brady’s family called Kraft ”Benedict Kraft.”

More about “the source.” Wickersham writes that Kraft met with Trump who (correctly) told him he should have never made a wink-nod deal with Goodell and should have had a clear agreement instead. I highly doubt Trump is a source for this book.

You guys couldn't help it eh? hehe. Kraft appeared to me to be the source his the last book so it makes sense he's the main source here. I don't think BB or Brady would talk for this at this time. I don't even see anything on social media about the book yet so sounds like this whole thing is a big nothing burger.

From what I’ve read so far, it's 60% filler that recaps already known anecdotes, seasons, games, stats. 20% speculation/narrative about what so-and-so must be thinking using some example from their past, and 20% new content, mostly mild, involving actual events/anecdotes.

20% isn't bad and is all he needs really. I hope there are real quotes. For example if the Bill Obrien quote above about the Brady to Welker throw is in there, I like that he put his name on it even if I don't agree with his take.

Holy crap.
- BB did not believe Brady saying he did nothing wrong re Deflategate. Wow.
- BB felt Deflategate was a risk to his own legacy. He knew HOF voters would hold Spygate against him (and he is right IMO) and this would also taint his own legacy.
- BB was very paranoid about anyone finding any kind of violation in the organization because it would ruin his legacy no matter how small. he had moles throughout the building letting him know about the behavior of staff. Even had NCAA tournament pools shut down.
- Put the onus back on Tom to explain what happened as we know - and that really pissed off Brady’s family and friends.
Belichick is a POS

A few coaches and players were glad to see Patricia on his way out after that Super Bowl. Saw him as a Bill wannabe. Laughed at him for the pencil when he has a laminated play sheet that you couldn’t write on anyway

So… it only makes sense to bring him back right?
Fatty Matt is a joke of a coach

I’d be curious about the context for all of that. Was it at the beginning of the process, or was it the entire process? Meaning — BB himself said he’s not the Mona Lisa Vito of footballs, so he probably didn’t realize about ball pressure in cold temperatures when he first heard the story. BB gets told something is wrong, he knows he didn’t do it, he assumes his QB must have done it so he didn’t believe him when he said it.

I would like to think the whole science experiment and subsequent Saturday press conference was enough to make him convinced Brady was innocent and was why he spent his time doing that.

If he still felt Brady was guilty and hiding something *after* that, *that* would be a big story.

Regarding the 2nd and 3rd points, not surprised there, we have heard rumors from guys like Tom Curran about how BB has been extra cautious about everything since then. The fact he actually used moles is really interesting though!

After the initial Deflategate stuff, though, Belichick seems to change his tune. Just saying we should remember that everyone, including Belichick, was going off of the false report about the PSI, and the league sent fake measurements to the Patriots on purpose.

Read it again and it sounded like it was at the beginning of the process and BB was more paranoid about what it would mean for his own legacy as a coach than anything else. He knows spygate already will not help his legacy or his chances to get in to the HOF on the first ballot.
