Agree completely. Because Mankins growls a lot and is constantly getting into shoving matches with the other team the mediots think he's all-world.
Actually heard a mediot on the radio talk to Mankins about the HOF.

Logan Mankins is highly decorated enough to be a legitimate HOF candidate. He could use a Super Bowl win to solidify his credentials. It will be interesting to see how many guys who were key players in this Brady-Belichick run get in.

In reviewing the current notables, he'll need a few more All-Pros and a SB for sure as he will be compared to those players and his current era.

Yes, lately he has struggled to stay healthy and that has caused inconsistency in his play but, before all that, he hadn't missed a practice or a game in how many years? He was hardly 'overrated' before that.

This discourse seems silly, as if Belichick did not think that he was playing up to this team's expectations he would not be starting..

He does not start because of legacy, he starts because he is one of the best they have..

Mankins missed 6 games due to injury, but still played 61% of the snaps.. if his replacement was better, why would BB allow him to start???

Nobody is saying Mankins is god awful. What we are saying is he's highly overrated and that is very true. Logan Mankins is not one of the best in the game at his position. At one time he was top 2 or 3 but not now and hasn't been for some time.
