Probably arm length. Both are a little under 6’6” as TEs. But Warren has ridiculously short arms, less than 32”,while Loveland the better receiver has arms an inch longer.

In contested catch situations against professional athletes it matters.

Even when Warren can run block much better.

Because Ben Johnson wanted his version of Sam LaPorta, and Loveland is a better pure receiving TE than Tyler Warren. He has a longer stride, better separation, and a greater catch radius. Of course, Warren has lots of other skills, but it seems like Johnson had a certain type in mind.

This. Warren was a TJ Hockenson clone, and Hockenson was traded at $0.50 on the dollar as soon as Johnson arrived.

Loveland looked a little gawky in his steps to me. Sure long strides and maybe faster, but can he do what TEs need to do, quick steps, turnarounds, getting open between seams?

This will be an interesting comparison. I dont need my TEs to be able to sprint vertically.

Part justified it today.
