Why don't any of you have patience?

Diggs was a trade, from what I understand Barkley always wanted to play in Pennsylvania, as he was a PSU grad, but ibwouldnhavrnlovefbtobgrt him. RB is one of the Best Buy’s in free agency, WR is the worst, they are grossly overpaid. I would stay away from WR completely in free agency, and take one or two every year in the draft. If they are able to address LT in free agency this offseason, which is a big if, they should have a shot at either Tetairoa MacMillan or Travis Hunter, either of which would be a huge addition to their receiving corps. And unlike many here I’m not giving up on their young receivers. Both Polk and Baker could end up being good players, and Boutte is starting to show that he can contribute as well. Things could end up looking very different at this time next year, and they could end up with a really good young receiving corps of Douglas, Boutte, Polk, Baker, and possibly Hunter or MacMillan. Wishful thinking, maybe, but it’s way too early to be quitting on these guys.
still have to try

hes not dogshit... will levis is dogshit

did we even try with the guys like diggs? barkley?

So the Patriots rookie receivers suck, despite the fact that 5 of their 7 games with Brisssett, but Ridley doesn’t suck because it’s theQB’s fault?

apologies for "arch stanton"-ing your post... think he would be a viable weapon with/for Maye

I think Ridley is grossly overpaid, and yes, he sucks.

How about he put up 1300+ yards in 2020... in 15 games... almost 1100 in 2023...

remind me, which one of the guys on our roster has managed that?

never said he wasn't... but when you are a crappy team, sometimes ya got to overpay til you get better, especially at the skill positions

They weren’t buying 2020 Calvin Ridley.

Overpaying for jags is a terrible idea. Country to build a championship team, not an 8-9 team. That takes patience.

the 1100 yard 2023 CR is still better than anything we have, no?

Just being better than what you currently have isn’t good enough, especially when you have two rookies and two 2nd year WR’s in your first 6 receivers. And given the price tags I’ll take the young guys every time. I’ll say it again, the goal is to build a championship team, you don’t do that by overspending for jags. I’m willing to wait for that, it’s not a race, it’s a step by step process. Look at the Jets, they tried to go the fast route, how is their future looking?

We aren't building a championship team. We are trying to get back to being an 8 or 9 win team.

Patience is fine. As long as there is a reason to be patient. Give me a reason, show me growth, show me something and I will be patient. But it takes more than adding one guy. You might not hit on everyone, but you gotta try. But don't serve me up a **** sandwich and expect me to say "delish, more please..."

Yes it is! Especially considering the track record of this team when it comes to WR.
especially when you have two rookies and two 2nd year WR’s in your first 6 receivers.
You ***** and moan about a guy like CR, but its okay to bring in Osborn?
And given the price tags I’ll take the young guys every time.
Young guys who can't catch a football. What was it today? as many drops as catches? Ugh.

Yes. and you don't do that by doing what we did - which is nothing.

It is a race. Whether you like it or not, disagree with me or not, this is a results driven league. You want the high end free agent to look your way? You have to be better than being a 2 win team to do that. If we have to spend that precious cap space to achieve that, then spend. I will never understand the purse wringing when it comes to dollars. Its not your money. It has zero effect on you. Just remember being cheap cost us Brady. Kraft should have stepped up to the plate and paid him to ensure he stayed here for his whole career. This nickle and dime-ing crap needs to stop.

Right now? They look and play like a 2-3 win team. That's their future unless things change.

There is nothing wrong with being critical. And nothing I say, or anything that anyone else says, will change how business is done One Patriot Place.

Coaching was solid today. Let’s see how it goes next week. Hopefully they get Maye back.

There was nothing in this year’s free agency, it was a bunch of overpriced jags. I wanted Wilkins and Barkley, but after that it sucked. This team is in rebuild mode, they needed to get a franchise QB to start to build around.
Yeah McKinney is sucking hind tit over at Green Bay.

Play calling was good today. Moved the ball well most of the day, stopped mainly by bad drops and bad calls.
I guess drops stopped a lot of drives. It seemed to me that there still were too many first down inside runs that went nowhere. But maybe I’m just sensitized to notice those more because they’ve been a consistent sore spot. I’ll have to spend some time reviewing play by play in the next day or two to see.

You can set your watch on first down with a run.
