And signing Juju without doing their due diligence on his knee. Like you said if that's BB so be it.Whoever decided to extend Parker should be fired. If that's BB, so be it.

Add Meyers.. UDFASeems like we do better actually barely drafting a WR pop& Jules to name a few. 6th and 7th rounders.
Hint" same guy that signed jujuWhoever decided to extend Parker should be fired. If that's BB, so be it.
Agreed. Football awareness as well. If you play WR in the league you should be aware where the 1st down marker is at all times. Thornton for example yesterday.I suspect BB places too high an emphasis on metrics and measurables, and not enough on his own (or the scouts') eyes.

Absolutely, Myers was vocal last season and bucked the system. Bill claims the tried to resign him.Add Meyers.. UDFA
Tuna didn't pick the players or he wouldn't have cried to the media about not being able to buy his own groceries.Have to admit Parcells was a good talent evaluator…other than Terry Glenn who he didn’t want.
Scouts: Bill this guy AJ Brown..can really go up and get it.. he fights for the ball, can run every route, 4-2 speed, team player, smart and everything you want in a WR.Tuna didn't pick the players or he wouldn't have cried to the media about not being able to buy his own groceries.
And the real easy answer to the question of why the Pats can't pick receivers is that Bill is making the picks.
How many plays does WR Matt Slater get in on? The last time I saw him do anything was quite a few games ago when he was clapping from 15 yards away for the player who made the tackle. The strange thing about that pick was that in War Room iirc Belichick’s #1 priority for wide receivers was getting open, and Harry was incapable of that. And what really sucked was that Deebo Samuel was campaigning to become a Patriot, he was sitting right there when they picked, and Belichick went with Harry.
Overall the only things I can come up with are that Belichick has never valued the position because they only touch the ball 4-6 times a game, and that he has always used psychological evaluations, and prioritized team captains and leaders, and prioritized those qualities over athleticism, at a position where athleticism is the most important trait. Regardless the track record is really poor, especially when you put each draft in the perspective of who was still on the board at the time. Harry over Samuel, Aaron Dobson over Keenan Allen etc…. Monday morning QB’ing on the draft always fails to put it in context, but a number of these were almost straight up choices of one over the other.
Bill probably didn't like Deebo or AJ? That's important to him.Scouts: Bill this guy AJ Brown..can really go up and get it.. he fights for the ball, can run every route, 4-2 speed, team player, smart and everything you want in a WR.
Bill: I'm going to have to give him guaranteed money at some point...I can get 2 WRs in the 5th round for that price.
Ju Ju blows chunks and has for his entire time here.Look at Parker and Juju's production over the last few games with Zappe throwing to them. Amazingly, they are suddenly pretty good wr's. Really strange how that works. If your qb sucks ass your wr's production sucks. Blame Bill all you want for Mac Jones, whether or not Kraft made him play, or if he felt this team wasn't a championship contender and he wanted to make absolutely sure Mac wasn't good, ie it takes 3 years to really evaluate a qb, we will never really know. But, we know it now. As far as expending draft capital on wr's, they are more of a crap shoot than any other position on the field. And the Patriots won for decades with a combination of Brady, trading for established wr's, and other positions receiving, along with a few late round finds.
Absolutely correct, some get caught up in the PAST allure of all the winning over the years. Of course Bill was best then as HC, people have to remember the last 3,4 seasons were pretty much wasted. 2021 was all a mirage. The organization needs to press on.Ju Ju blows chunks and has for his entire time here.
And stop with the nonsensical excuse that Bill didn't pick Jones. Of course he did.
How many more losing years do you think we need to go before we replace the dinosaur HC? Five? Ten?
And the 2 guys he gave contracts too were where they have been all season for various reasons juju and Parker were MIA yesterday.Bill probably didn't like Deebo or AJ? That's important to him.
Curran mentioned before that Bill, as Parcells understudy.. was insistent that if he took the job he'd be named HC/GM..Tuna didn't pick the players or he wouldn't have cried to the media about not being able to buy his own groceries.

I know that reading comprehension is beyond you, but I never said Bill didn't pick Jones. I can explain using small words to help you comprehend/understand. This thread is about drafting wr's. If your qb can't throw, your wr's can't catch. The best wr in the world will still suck if the qb can't throw. So I said you can blame Bill the GM for picking Mac, and you can blame Bill the gm him for sticking with him, but you can't judge the wr's who were very good with other teams on their inability to produce with Mac Jones as their qb. Juju was the #1 wr on the Superbowl winning team last year, and did very well with Zappe. I guess you can say he sucks because he got hurt, but no wr's have done well with Mac Jones as their qb, because he sucks. At least try and read before posting. If you are Mac's grandfather, I am sorry, he seems like a nice guy and you should be proud.Ju Ju blows chunks and has for his entire time here.

I've made similar post. Parker I don't see him here.. he's too unreliable, injury prone, and plays on average half a season. He showed flashes every now and then but just not worth the investment. However good for him if guys can get paid kudos. The offense didn't look competent yesterday until Parker got hurt and Thornton entered the game. The Bill's had to account for his speed downfield. He also got mugged on a sure TD and the refs sat on their hands.
With better blocking and better QB play, I feel pretty good about Tyquan's future assuming he stays healthy. Parker only has one more garunteed year left on his deal and it's only for 6M. He could easily be traded this offseason if they don't want to deal with him. Also Juju will be a full year removed from surgery on his knee so he'll be healthy and Demario already proved himself and should only improve.
They need better blocking and better QB play.
Rookie WR’s have the highest failure rate in the NFL… at least offensively. Read what I wrote. Why didn't Jefferson fail? Moss? Diggs? When they were rookies? The Patriots may have all the Intel in the world on guys.. however drafting and developing a guy is one in the same.
And he wasn't staying in 2020 if the Patriots drafted some other rookie instead of N'Keal, he was gone either way.brady had a horrible receiving core that year and left partly because of it.
Re-read what you posted. You said rookie WRs have the highest failure rate in the NFL?Rookie WR’s have the highest failure rate in the NFL… at least offensively. Read what I wrote.
You pointing out the success stories, doesn't make the overwhelming number of misses by all teams disappear.
