Who's worth our TOP 10 PICK?

Excellent response.

Thank you!

I didn't know the salaries were that high for a top 5 pick

It's absurd, isn't it? It's one thing to roll the dice on a potential franchise QB who could transform your whole offense, but how much is even a potential featured RB worth?

This Mock looks to have us taking McFadden, it does make some sense if Belichick decides to pick the best availible, hes arguably the most talented player in the draft. Belichick may decide to try to address team needs in the lower rounds, where he has some success to say the least.

I can't imagine Belichick paying out top 5 money for a running back. It just seems to run counter to his cap value system, even if we didn't have Maroney for another 3 years. If I hadn't proved my ignorance of BBs thought process over the years, I'd say "no way in hell does that happen". I don't doubt we could spend a midround pick on a RB, though.

Put me down for one order of Kenny Phillips!

If the pick is around #5 AND there are no attractive trade options, he'd be my choice too.

I think either of the Long boys, Jake or Chris or McFadden would be worth a top 5 selection.
I think McFadden is a better RB than Peterson, and Peterson has over 1,000 yards thus far this season. See Hutchison for deatils on how.
