If things don't change for the better soon,we must go to our annual grabbing the grocery bagger off the streets, this year to get a decent WR instead of the usual corner...Any suggestions of an unemployed talent out there now that actually has gotten open in NFL games in his past or shows more than enough brains to get out of bounds when the clock is ticking down and you are behind by 10 ?

It's more of a factor of chemistry than anything. Also, Gabriel and Jackson were, for the most part, not on the field tonight.

Once Gabriel and Jackson get on the field, and once they gel a bit more, things will get better.

Caldwell and Brown won't cut it. But if you have CJ and Gabriel in there as well..things might change. Add in the fact that they have noc hemistry right now, thigns will change.

Patriot64. Did you actually WATCH the game? I doubt it because of such garbage as you posted. Brady was not himself and anyone who says otherwise didn't watch the game. The pass that went off Graham's hands was a rocket and nearly took Graham's hands off with it. Many of the passes to the WRs were underthrown or over-thrown. Watson, though he had the one bad drop, also had to make a couple of circus catches to cover for Brady's lousy throws.

Not only did I watch this game but I have watched Patriots games for 28 years so don't tell me this BS of I did not know what I was seeing ect:...If like some of you, think that this WR team is gonna turn out like some Jerry Rice,Taylor combo or Stallworth,Swann you will be dissapointed,They will in time be decent, but not anywhere in the league of those mentioned..Super Bowl caliber WR unit in time as many of you think is a bit out of wack,at least this year,If we get to the super bowl this year it will be like in 1986 (for those of you who were actually alive at the time to watch them) where our offense was decent but the defense created turnovers all season and into the playoffs..If we get to the dance it will be more defense than offense as what it appears to me at this point in time,Albeit only 3 weeks into the season early to judge but after watching them so long this is what I grasp at this time looking into the crystal ball..we will see how much of an 'idiot' I am about this in January...

I don't care how long you CLAIM to have been watching the Patriots, you aren't showing you know much of ANYTHING.

1) This group is actually as good or better than the group of receivers that the Pats had in 2001. I stand by my remarks that you posted BS.

2) No where did I say that this group of receivers would be like Jerry Rice and John Taylor or Swann and Stallworth. But you aren't giving the receivers the credit they are due. They are getting open. Brady just wasn't hitting them.

3) I was alive in 1986 and following the Pats, thank you very much. I do remember that defense and that offense. I also remember Grogan playing hurt. And I can remember that the Pats were basically a Cinderella story getting to the SB by defeating the Fins in their house to break the "Orange Bowl" curse.

4) OK, MS. CLEO. I bet you also wrote the Pats off in 2001 when they had the ragtag group of Charles Johnson, Troy Brown, David Patten, Torrance Small, and Fred Coleman. Not to mention those "amazing" players in Jermaine Wiggines and Rod Rutledge at TE.

From what I read from another person on this board who was at the game was that the receivers had TROUBLE getting open mostly all night and the defense was tough,Maybe all Brady performance complaints need a recheck

Well, That's funny because I saw numerous receivers getting open and Brady either over-throwing or under-throwing the receiver on several occasions.

Not sure where the person sat, but I had a nice bird's eye view of the game and could easily see when players were open and when they weren't. Like Big Ben being open in the End Zone when Brady hit Gabriel for the only TD.
