Brady hated to come out of games. He was an absolute Iron Man.
Hopefully Cam will be more open to 'workload management'. If we are up in games by double digits in the 4th quarter, it would be safer to rest him. That's the IDEAL scenario...
However, it's not like we have the high flying offense of 2007 returning. Our WR corps is quite questionable and our new young Tight Ends are completely unproven. Cam may be FORCED to stay in the whole game because if we win, they will be tight games where the Defense keeps us in it.
I said earlier in this thread that I'm expecting 2018 Cam. In 2018 Cam was playing in a system very very similar to the Patriots coached by Norv Turner. 2018. The Panthers ran a ton and threw shlrt/quick passes and rarely pushed it downfield unless the situation presented it self. Time management and ball security were essential. It doesn't seem that way because it wasn't "flashy" Cam. He wasn't making OMFG type plays on his lonesome every week. He was just working the engine room on an offensive unit that was physically grinding out wins. His efficiency improved dramatically.
In short- the last time we saw Cam play being healthy.. He was playing in a way that would be a tremendous fit for us. He was flexing his most underrated asset- his brain.
If Stidham can beat oit THAT Newton assuming hes healthy ..then we found our guy for the next 10 years.
