I heard Brady just freed up 24 million and I think the cap goes up again next year and they can cut or rework Wilfork so the pats could sign anyone they want,

I want to see them sign and re-sign there own and maybe add Mike Iupati if he hits the market they also need a #3 WR maybe Cecil Shorts if they can get a good deal on him. a RB like Frank Gore or C.J. Spiller

The big splash safety signings in the last off season, if I'm not mistaken, they didn't have a good season, maybe this will drop the price a little bit for something in the 7 mi / year neighborhood. 8+ million a year for Mccourty, I would not be shocked if BB do not cover.

Read some rumors after his suspension that they were basically trying to give him away a year ago after his latest suspension, his value is dropping by the day.

It won't be when he hits free agency, he will get a huge deal from someone. I'll take the Raiders for 80 million Alex.

You didn't say new contract. You lumped them in with a bunch of people who's contract expires this year and said they "need to be addressed." If they're under contract next year they don't need to be addressed. Yeah, I was wrong about Branch, that's why I said "I'm pretty sure," and I didn't say hey stupid your wrong. You need to read better. The date of that contract was 12/23/13. That is a contract he signed with the BILLS.. Not the Pats.

I do not want to see McCourty testing out in the open market. That's when he ends up going to Denver.

Clearly you have your own thoughts on what a new contract is vs. a contract extension. I didn't say "new contract" because I don't consider an extension to be a NEW contract. A new contract is just that. And I said a long term extension for McCourty because I am hoping they get it done prior to the end of the 2014 league season and not after.

And yes, they do need to be addressed because the longer the Patriots wait to get Hightower and Jones onto extensions, the more expensive those years are going to be.

I have no clue how intelligent you are or aren't, so I was legitimately asking. And I was legitimately asking because your post about Branch's contract was a head scratcher since Rotoworld clearly said the 4 year deal was signed in December of 2013 and Branch didn't sign with the Pats until October 29th of 2014.
