Who would you have to play BB, etc in a movie?

I'm thinking that Bruce Willis would make an excellent Coach Belichick.

I can see him on the sidelines, in a hoodie, and watching Brady throw a TD muttering to himself "Yippie Kay yeah, Muthaf%cka.......

That's my idea, and I'm sticking with it.

Or "best defense in the league. Suck my ****."

I'll take Ian mcshane as BB. (dude who played Swearagin on Deadwood"

And before that played an antiques dealer on a long-running BBC series called "Lovejoy". Yeah, he could play BB pretty well too, I suspect.

Surprised this hasn't been mentioned but Russell Crowe would be the perfect guy for Belichick. I think Damon already called dibs on the Brady role because someone promised he'd get to sleep with a Victoria Secret model.

Props to the OP and to the many creative responses. Great, fun, anxiety reducing pre-game thread.

Kelcey Grammar as Scott Pioli

John Goodman as Charlie Weiss

If his being gay is the root cause of you being unable to fathom his playing BB, others' sexual orientation weighs far too heavily on your mind.

His sexual orientation has no bearing on his ability to play straight characters.

OK, in deference to your politically correct condemnations, I gave this further thought. Still can't come up with a gay actor who would do a good BB.

There may not be a gay actor who would be good to play BB but to not pick one because hes gay is silly.

Honest to God's truth: I just called my gay friend Martin (not his real name) to run this by him. Martin plays on an all-gay Boston rugby team and is sports-minded. After he stopped laughing (which took a while), here is what he said: "ARE YOU CRAZY?! No way in HELL can a gay actor do a good Bill Belichick!" Then he tried to come up with lesbian actresses who could play BB and I told him to stop.

I don't know what else to say.

Political correctness has nothing to do with what I said. In fact, I despise the level of political correctness that has infected our society.

If you indeed did run this by a gay friend and he really did react like that, others' sexuality weighs to heavily on his mind as well. Then again, being on a sports team that is based on sexuality would imply as much.

May sound Crazy but I think Bill Murray would be perfect for BB.
I'm a Bill Murray fan, but I have never seen him play a part without expressing many of his own idiosyncrasies.

Kevin spacey or willem dafoe. Or maybe Joe pesci? Steve buscemi? "This is not a debate. I'm not going to debate you jerry." That's kind of his attitude in press conferences.

Williem Dafoe is an interesting choice. Joe Pesci's voice is too high.

Steven Wright would nail the press confrences

Janet Reno would nail BB's sense of style and humor

An all gay rugby team? They must really look forward to the post game showers!
