Hernandez played, but it was only his second game back from his injury. He still was not 100%.
Hernandez played, Spikes was hurt in the 3rd quarter when it was 3-0 I believe, Chung was hurt in the 4th quarter right before Ballards Tyree impression I remember correctly. He came back for a few plays but then didnt play until December
The Giants players who missed that game (Nicks, etc.) but are back now are clearly more significant/valuable than the Patriots players who missed that game but are back now.
Which is good for them and all, but at the end of the day the difference is likely whether the Patriots can avoid turning the ball over, and keep Brady upright, etc.
Patriots declared RB Kevin Faulk, WR Taylor Price, QB Ryan Mallett, OG Donald Thomas, DL Shaun Ellis, LB Jermaine Cunningham and LB Dane Fletcher inactive for Week 9 against the Giants.
those were inactives but doesn't mean those who were active were healthy or played up to potential.
The Giants were missing some players to injury as I recall.
Chung and Spikes played I believe. Not to sure about Hernandez
Also got killed in the turnover department. So I would say our heads were missing as well, overall we have a much better turnover differential than the Giants.
