They have an open roster spot because Spikes is on IR. Doesn't necessarily mean Dobson is done quite yet.

Hes only playing 15-20 or so snaps a game. Hes better at setting the edge and playing the run than Buchanan right now. Once Buchanan shows that hes competent in that area, Carter will no longer be necessary.
