Which player of the two is likely to return to their respective team?

I'll go with Invisible Guy #1.

Its a poll, smartass- Be patient-It takes time if you were ever clever enough to present one.

I don't understand how these players benefit by sitting out.

If I were in control of a team, and a franchised player sat out, I would cut him during the 10th week, and he'd earn no $$$ for the year.

How does it help Asante to kick $8 million dollars to the curb for this year?

Have you ever seen a greedy person that was also smart? - If either of them sit out its all greed

Hey, you handled that well. At least you're not being dramatic.

I just wish that one day I could figure out how to start a poll!

Incidentally, I voted that Asante plays and Briggs sits. I totally figured that part out on my own!

I am glad to see you are doing things on your own...Once that straight jacket came off I knew you would be an asset to society - congratulations!

BTW - Didn't understand the 'dramatic' comment above and what in reference you are talking about- please enlighten me with your wit.

No. I will not.

I suggest we hug it out.

Bottom line: neither player will sit for the season. Nor do I see a trade happening if one isn't done before the draft this year. Either guy is gonna cost a top 15 this year and at least a third this or next. The steal you away price is a first this and next.

Neither of these guys is gonna sit out, considering the money they are to be paid to play. The only sad part is they will miss camp and that means they have a slow start. They may huff and puff, but no way they leave @.5million dollars a game to make a point. Bottom line, as I said, both play under the tag.

But that is not to say there wont be a deal cut with Asante for a contract here. The question and deal breaker is the whole 3 year thing. The Pats can configure a 5 year deal, with the first 3 years matching or approaching his asking price IF they can ammortize it out over 5 years or so, and they can make the 5th year a junk year to renegotiate for, too. Effectively giving Asante the control after the 4th year. But that is only if Asante is willing to sign for 5 not 3.

I can see the pole.

It is becoming more and more apparent that Assante will never wear a Pats Uni again, bringing in James as a "bridge" player and with our first round picks, he is gone. Assante will go to another team, get his payday, and have short seasons.

Not sure about Briggs though..
