Wow a lot on the Draft page today!
So, who does everyone hope we take withour 2 picks?
I just want a LB and DB. I really don't know enough about these collage players to have a favorite or two.
Any hidden gems you like.

Nobody has a favorite player they want us to take?
I like Willis but believe he's gone before we pick

I want Michael Griffin (among other players).

For me it all depends on whether we sign Asante or not.

If yes, then I would like to see Paul Posluszny @ the #24 if he is still there and the Greg Olsen at the #28 because if we sign Asanted then we do not sign Graham IMO.

If no, then a cb with one of the picks. Revis could be around but mostlikely we would have to trade up some spots to get him. Mccauley is a athletic freek. He may be there at 28. So maybe the Pos @ 24 & McCauley @ 28. I would be dancing if that happened. I would then trade up to get Greg Olsen in early round 2. Olsen + Watson would be sick, then Mills (FB) and Thomas could handle more of the blocking.

Personally, I'd rather see LB/CB with the first pick, and Brian Leonard with the second (I'd love it if the Pats could get him in round 2, but I don't see him lasting past the JEST's second pick, which is late-30s).

Or, if the Pats pulled a trade a la the Packers last year, then LB/CB with the first-rounders, and Leonard in the second.

- I'd like best available WR and DB in the first round

- I'd like three LBs (two inside at least) in rounds 2 thru 6

Revis and Poz

I think this is a great idea but will BB go for it?

So, who does everyone hope we take with our 2 picks?

At #24 - a future starter -- PERIOD. Preferred position would be a Safety or CB. Preferred player would be Nelson for FS. The idea behind this pick is to add an impact player for the defense. When Rodney goes down, we may get solid enough play from Hawkins and Sanders -- but they're not playmakers/difference makers. This season, Rodney will return and make a difference. But Wilson's play has declined somewhat. If we have that opportunity to add a potential playmaker to the secondary, I think we should do so. The strength of the D is STILL the front 7, and while they're all still here, we can make their lives easier by adding an impact player to the last line of defense. Wishful thinking however...as Nelson probably won't be available.

At CB, as I've said from the beginning...whichever one fits best is o.k. by me.

In the 'Draft Game', at #24 I chose Spencer only because the DBs I thought fit best were all off the board. Spencer IMO, will represent value in that slot after the Combine. He offers a potential upgrade at the position along with perceived starting ability. Seems to possess Pats-type qualities with his work ethic and character...and as an added bonus, may allow himself to be mentored by a fellow Purdue alum - Rosey Colvin.

There are only a few others who I think will qualify as potential first pick for the Pats. We'll know more once the Combine dust settles as prospects make a permanent home in the round one rankings, after the rising and falling process concludes.

At #28 - it really doesn't matter to me. I figure there are only 5 or 6 players who are worthy for the Pats in that slot -- so it's a wait-and-see. And of course there's always a possibility of a BB trade-down or move-up from that slot. I'm excited already...:singing:

Yes.

Willis is my top pick, also. I'm hoping he is still there, hoping that a few combine workout warriors turn everyones' (except BB's) heads by draft day.

why do we have this exact thread every 4 days?

Same question everytime..who do you want with the first 2 picks..who do you want in round 1?

we have a million threads saying who "we want" and who "we like"

You have accidently entered the draft forum, where people talk about the draft picks and who they would like to see the Pats draft.

Good point. We should also have threads for 2nd round, 3rd round, etc. And we shouldn't forget an UDFA thread!

It a draft forum to talk about the draft and share ideas.

no **** sherlock its a draft talk but u already made 5 threads of the same. go find the thread wherer u ask the same question and continue posting there..why start a new 1 when your ass learns about a new player?

The reason I do it is simple...to start talk among us Pats fans on the upcoming draft.
no reason to get so excited and call me $%^^ names

You sound like a steeler fan now f this and f that

lol your the 1 here and at kffl asking about certain Patriot players like u dont see them..u always say u cant watch the game b/c they arent showing it in Carolina..and yet you say im like a Squeeler fan?

not calling u anything right now but im just saying..you already made very similar threads..go back and bump them instead of creating so many threads on basically the same topic. we already have talk about draft..you made 50% of the threads in this and they are either

a) What first rounder we want
b) what player we like
c) what player we would like in round 1
d) "___(enter play name) thread

^now from looking @ the above..i can say B-C belong together..possibly A. why not put it all in 1 big thread about what players would fit us and who we like in the draft and then seperate threads for certain prospectS?

I'll bump the same threat... relax, I'm not trying to start anything
Just chatting away with fellow fans
