If both LenDale White and DeAngelo Williams were available at #21, and the Pats were going to go RB with the pick, which would you rather have?

I'm going with Williams.

Given the choice I'll take White but I'd prefer Maroney - and would really prefer a LB.

I've begun hearing not-so-great stuff about Maroney. I voted for LenDale, but I'd be happy with him or DeAngelo.

I would prefer Addai over all of them except for Bush but given that choice..Williams. I question his desire though...

White easily. He's the best equipped to be a January, Northeast back.

White's a dud and probably a head case to boot. Addai could be the best value out there but if Lawrence Maroney's body checks out OK, he is the one I'd take.

Here is my fear of both players (from what I've read from different sources):

White doesn't have a great passion for the game and doesn't block well

vs

Williams previous injuries and his high milage in college football ( a lot of carries)

= We don't use the #21 pick on a RB when we have a healthy Dillion and OL. My gut feeling is they let the draft come to them and see where there needs are pressing if there is a tie between two players.

Williams is a small back with a lot of wear who's had an injury history.

White is a big back with little wear and a relatively clean injury history.

White, no contest.

From all the clips I've seen on the NFL Network of all these guys, I'd prefer Maroney at #21. I'm concerned there may be some truth about football not being of high importantance for LenDale White.

Oh yea I picked WHite.. But Williams small? I would say average size, not small.. 217 pounds seems pretty good weight.. Check up and he is built like Travis Henry.. Who I always like but fumbled WAY to much.

I'd have to go with Williams. White might be too stupid to be a Patriot, it's not too smart to have all the scouts come to the school's Pro Day workouts and then not do anything that they came there to watch!

Here's a post from the Colts board by someone who was just at USC's pro day - some interesting comments and observations:

Just got back from USC's pro day (I got a credential so was able to get up close). The buzz seemed to be the weak showing of RB Lendale White. White was able to bench press 225 pounds only 15 times; for comparison, punter Tom Malone did 14, safety Darnell Bing did 21, Bush 24 and fullback David Kirtman 26 (despite White outweighing him). He did not run because of a sore hammy.

Not sure what this all means for him dropping to the Colts. One scout for a team told me they can see more of a player's "football DNA" on film rather than these workouts, and the buzz can change in a heartbeat. White has always impressed me on the field, so we'll see what happens.

Gary Kubiak was there and must have smiled when Reggie Bush ran the 40 in 4.33. Bush also had the best standing broad jump of the day -- 10.8 feet. He's a stud.

Safety Darnell Bing was very impressive and the word is that the Pats hope he falls to them. I stood next to Bing (I'm 6-5) and he's a legit 6-2, sculpted 225 pounds. Matt Leinart looked terrific throwing and Jeff Fisher, Norm Chow and 5 other Titan coaches were there. The Titans are having a private workout with Leinart on Monday and bringing in their own receivers to work him out.

Saw only 1 guy with a Colts cap on but never got the chance to see who he was. The only other coach I saw was Carolina's John Fox (the Panthers are also considering a RB).

A sleeper could be WR William Buchanon, who ran a 4.38 40 and stands 6-3.

The place was packed and turned out to be a fun experience. Thanks for letting me share.
