There were tons of Patriot's legends prior to 2001, which one of your Patriot's favorite legends do you wish had won a championship with the Pats ? Here are mine.

1) Steve Nelson ILB- loved the way Nelson played, he was a beast. In the era of the legendary middle linebackers, he was often overlooked, but he was damned good and a warrior. Seemed to be in every tackle. One of my all time favorites.

2) John Hannah LG- the best guard of all time and possibly the greatest O-Lineman of all time, he was just the perfect O-Lineman. Not a sexy pick, but just a great player.

3) Andre Tippett OLB- instantly adds a great pass rush to any team. Feared and game planned against by offenses, he was just unstoppable. Despite playing in the Lawrence Taylor era, was still recognized as a great. What a great player.

I have several more that I wished had won a championship, but I will keep it relatively short. Who are your favorite legends you wish had won a championship with the Pats ?

I like this list. Even though Junior Seau was not a Patriot for a long time, I always felt he understood the Patriot way and would have loved to see him win one with the Patriots.
The ironic thing being that, had he not switched into a casino blitz on the Plax touchdown, he may have had one.

It's easy to forget that a few great players sandwiched between the SB wins didn't get one. I feel for Mankins, but all Wes had to do was hang on to the ball.
Wes may have been MVP of 42 though. It really ****ing sucks Denver won without him, there could have been one small good thing to come out of that. He was one of the few guys to show up and not quit in 48 also.

Um..... ALL of them of course. Isn't that the obvious and correct answer?

From my time, Moss and Mankins.

Too long of a list but a few need to be Hog, Nellie, Brock, Grogs, Stingley, Steamer, Coates, Flutie, Gray, Jules Adams, Welker, Mankins, Moss, Armstrong, Tip, Blackmon, Mosi, RayClay
