When Will the Gronkmonster Return?

Why not speculate further but maybe Gronk has zero confidence that Jimmy will put the ball in spots that would keep him out of harms way? (See Peyton throwing to Welker)

He hung out JE11 out to dry a couple of times...
Wes is probably still playing had he stayed in NE. Of course I have no way of really knowing that and I'm also being a bit flippant, perhaps, but maybe. Wes took some hard hits here, no doubt. But he was taking them at an alarming rate when he played with Manning. There are other receivers who also took a pounding playing with Manning. That is yet another underrated aspect of Brady's game. Though every QB is prone to sometimes putting a receiver in harm's way, as they may not always be able to see or anticipate the DB, Brady seems to do it far less than Manning did throughout his career.

It'll happen I'm sure. Throwing out the kind of trash I just did is ok here but for Trollin or Howe to print it is a different story.

Exactly
I just cited it so I could attempt jokes
It is when it is, when the hammy is good to go, he'll be back

Let Gronk heal... I'm enjoying Marty-ball.

That skill takes time to learn, and some QBs never really learn it (*cough* Peyton *cough*).
Right. Jimmy has the arm strength for sure. It was a timing and location issue.

Yep. WW, Dallas Clark and Stokley all were bruised and battered by PM's suicidal over the middle throws.

it's not the end of the world if gronk misses 3-4 weeks. the only team we really needed him against was arizona and, oh yeah, we beat them. we SHOULD be able to beat miami, houston and buffalo at home with the lineup we have. if we can't, it's not because of the abscence of Gronk.

I miss Gronk. I hope he comes back soon. We do need him in January, but I like him all the Time.

If he's back before Brady returns my guess is the Thursday Houston game. Gives him 10 days more to heal and then another 10 between the next game against the Jill's.

Id hold him out and have him limited against Houston then it's 10 days off against Buffalo, which probably could get away with having Gronk out again especially if Watkins is out

It's fine. No rush.

Hogan/Edelman combo is legit and good enough. White will not be as good as he was last game every game but he is dependable and solid.

Mitchell has big play potential every snap and Amendola is dependable. They don't even need Bennett to catch any many passes as long as he continues to block well you can keep him there will your pass catching options.

For once it's not the end of the world if Gronk can't play. Bennett made an impact on Sunday and looks to be the player we all hoped he would be. Hopefully Gronk can go soon, but if he can't we finally have a capable backup to allow Gronk the time to heal. Can't wait to see both 87 and 88 on the field together though.

I have NO idea. I asked myself the same question as I was posting it.

I hear you. But am I the only one who doesn't fear Watkins and thinks he is probably a tad overrated? He has had some good games, but he overall has been underwhelming to me in the games I've watched. I don't think he'd crack my top 10 best WR's if I were making a list today.

The problem I have with Schefter's claim that Gronk not being well enough to travel was an indication of the seriousness of the injury. Balderdash. As it always is with BB, if you aren't going to play you don't travel. So it's not an indication of seriousness, but rather individual game status.
