When Do We Know Who We Got On Waiver Claims?

They worked out Greenfield during the draft process. I think he went after Jacobs and Thomas because both have experience in the OZ run game. I am actually excited about both of them because they both have good/great movement skills. I read that they both performed well in the preseason allowing no sacks and only a couple of pressures.

He must have, because he certainly didn't play better than him during the actual games.

Agree.

The only reason that Leverett Saltonstall is on the 53 is that Wolfie is too embarrassed to cut his incompetent ass. Same with IRing lowWatts instead of cutting him...
I suspect that Leverett will be cut as soon as we are convinced that we have a backup center, perhaps Hudson.

Yep; that was a waste of a claim.
waste of a claim? They were unlimited. We signed a backup project that replaces Anderson. Were there better OT's. No other team thought so. There were two OG/OT's claimed. We claimed one of those too. We'll take a look. He could stay as a backup OG or be replaced by Jordan at any time.

I would agree with this. I think that Leverett was kept to be the backup Center in case andrews goes down. I imagine that Hudson, a former 4 star recruit, will be called up by week 4.

Question for anyone: If a team tries and sign a player off the PS can the owning team promote the player to the 53 to block the other team from signing them?? I would think so but not sure the rules. Thanks in advance.

A team has no right to Practice Squad player. If a team wants to bring a player onto the 53, that player can choose to sign with another team.

Perhaps a team is protected for a the weekend if a player is put the 53 for the weekend.

But the main point is that this is not a strategy to precent a team to sign him to a contract with the requirement of him being Actice for 3 weeks.

No Demontrey Jacobs or Zach Thomas...?

They weren't on my radar either, or likely anyone else's except for Wolfie's...
Like I said above, I only looked at teams that had great offensive lines. I didn't focus on Denver. Maybe if I had done a deep dive on every team I may have found more.
