I'd be happy for him. He was nothing but a professional who gave it 110% when he was here.

Having said that, I'm rooting for the Seahawks to destroy.

I'm with you on this one. He was a great Patriot who played a tough position. He was the classic underdog. Saying that if the Hawks win i'll be happy.

i voted for 'i don't care'

Cheering against Wes feels like cheering against Peter Parker, but he's the enemy so i need to fess up some hate even though deep down i know Wes is a good guy.

How did you feel for Ray Allen when he got a ring with Miami?

Like some others on here, if he gets like 2 receptions for 20 yards and is pretty much a non factor and they win, I don't think I'll be bothered about him getting a ring.

But if he makes some crazy game clinching catch to win it all then I may just throw up in my mouth a little bit. And then cry about what could have been the game clinching catch for us.

I'll be very happy for Wes, a real warrior and so deserving to have good things happen for him.
I'll be rooting for the Broncos because of Wes .

I just don't see Denver beating Seattle. Then according to some cap people, he gets cut next year. Don't really care, but it will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

That would be the finishing blow to belichick from Wes.In addition , i'm thinking the Amendola move would be more scrutinize by the outside experts and by some people here. Wes Welker would no longer be included in the patriots hall of fame.Oh then there will be youtube parody on how much Wes love Peyton; " Peyton you gave me something Tom never did, a ring" and then i will want to hang myself.

Who cares if he says that? WTF difference does it make?

Welker is the enemy?? HA!

I voted the last option.

Why wait? Just hang yourself now and forgo the prospective misery.

He didn't "leave us." The Pats wouldn't meet his salary demands (the Pats came up, but their offer was apparently still short of the Broncos' by enough) and he went to a team that would.

I agree to some extent that he didn't necessarily "leave us," but the popular story is that the Patriots did not budge in the least--not that they "came up, but their offer was still short."

In all reality, and by all reports, the Patriots offered 2/10 and did not budge; however that offer was MORE guaranteed year one money than Denver gave him. Denver offered a higher two year total at 2/12, however. Welker's agent claimed that they did go back to New England in the last hour when Denver made their 2/12 offer, and gave New England every opportunity to match it, yet Belichick chose not to.

I still believe that with the more year one guaranteed money from N.England, and fully knowing Denver's offer of 2/12, had Belichick come up one more million to 2/11, it likely would have been enough. The problem however, seems to be that Belichick never wanted to budge in the first place. There certainly seemed to be some behind the scenes bad blood between the two, which were probably made worse throughout the contract negotiations.

Its ok to hold grudges.

I'd have to say. I'd be a little bit upset.

Although the flip side of that coin would either be Cam Chancellor returning the Talib hit to Welker with interest on behalf of the DB union or him dropping the game winner.

If so. There will be dancing. Not pretty dancing. Just dancing.

I'll think about the draft, contract restructures, and free agency all related to the NE Patriots.
