I commercial fish out of Charlestown RI...that's what I do. I think I know a little bit more about OUR weather than some clown on a man made "lake" in central Florida.

Hahaha, relax there Charlie. There's no need for disparaging anyone.

I was trying to help a fellow PatsFans member know how to get the same data you likely use in your work. YOUR weather can be discerned by anyone that knows where to look for the data on the internet.

FYI, Lake Sante Fe is not man made. Ask Tim and/or Urban...they once hung out here. As a matter of fact, the home Coach Meyer once had on Sante Fe is in one of those pictures...so is mine for that matter.

You keep swinging and missing my point. Your "helpful hint' really doesn't mean a whole helluva lot up here. In fact , the LAST thing I WOULD rely on is satellite data when it comes to NE weather. I can tell far more by reading my barometer and looking southwest into Long Island Sound. I lived in South Florida for 8 years back in the late 70's ,early 80's. The weather patterns are completely different and far more amenable to satellite projections. Just FYI ,I knew early this morning that it would clear and be sunny here, even as the satellite imagery led to forecasts of periodic rain showers here today, at 4 am this morning. Why? Because the stalled front got a push from westerly winds NOT forecasted by satellite imagery but physically discerned by sense right here...that and the birds. The birds were up at dawn, not sitting like they do in a stalled low front.

Meanwhile, in Foxboro, the weather at any given time can be completely different, depending on the wind direction and the Massachusetts Bay and Gulf Of Maine prevailing winds, you can get weather the EXACT OPPOSITE of what is predicted by any meteorologists up here.

What to do for training camp is prepare for ANYTHING. THAT is the proper thing to do HERE.

Sorry Charlie. Having logged considerable blue water time myself (throughout the Caribbean and somewhat frequently up the coast as far as Long Island), it's hard for me to understand why people interested in the weather, whether it is for having an idea of the Pats' practice time weather, for going fishing, or in my case, for sailing, skiing, fishing, or just going outside (I can dodge the rain), don't take advantage of the weather data resources available to us via the internet. We can do better than 'line of sight' weather predicting now a days. However, you are on to something with the birds.

Btw, if you check the time lapse NEXRAD or the WunderMap on the site linked below, you can likely tell how soon that big rapidly approaching storm about 100 miles to your south will arrive. Using the zoom function helps pin down exactly where the rain is.

Note: Thanks for not continuing to call me clown. That name is reserved for Wrecks Ryan of Jets' circus fame. However if you must call me a name, from you I'll answer to A-hole, no problem. It can be your name of endearment for me.
