Direct Snaps a Hot Topic for 49ers-Pats
Sounds like Frank Gore - who is averaging 4.9 yards per carry and is 4th in rushing with 369 yards - is chomping at the bit for some direct snaps.

Gore Ready For Match Of Wits
Even if he does have the most yards from scrimmage, I somehow doubt Gore will ever be on BB's speed dial if/when he becomes a free agent after this comment:
"I feel good, man," Gore said. "Just trying to win, try to keep getting better stats, try to stay up with the other guys."

TBC anxious for his first chance this season
I had almost forgotten that he was still in the NFL.

And your obligatory spygate reference from a Pats opponent.

"I don't think so," he (Jamie Martin) said of the potential for cheating in that game. "I can't speak for anybody, but I didn't hear anything about it then. Actually, in year's following you kind of heard murmers, but I didn't think anything at the time. They did other things during the game where they were physical ... you know, they just had a game plan that was different than what we'd seen from them in the past. That's what I thought at the time."

And apparently the concept of local fans not being endeared by the QB their team drafted is a universal hatred.

So typical of any opponent of ours to bring up the spygate.....

:deadhorse:

takes a lot of cheek for SF to shoot off their mouths when their former owner during their Super Bowl run was tried and convicted on organized crime counts...jeezus

Yeah, you're right. No Patriot player would ever care about statistics, especially the passing and receiving touchdowns in a season records.

How long is this spygate crap gonna last? 20 years down the road are people gonna look at the Pats and think.. oh yeah bunch of cheaters?

Any professional athlete would be proud of records they set, including Brady and Moss. However, if I recall correctly, when they were asked about it last year they deflected the question and talked about winning the next game. On the other hand when Gore was asked about his NFL yardage ranking, he replied that he was 'trying to keep getting better stats, trying to stay up with the other guys.'

Typical Every team has skeletons but they all stay buried because the team suks therefore nobody cares. If these teams ever put a winning franchise back together again, I'll be front and center watching the bs start turning their way

Every week we should write a piece noting something from the opponent's shady past :beatingcoming:

No one remembers that the Broncos cheated to their Superbowls?

No chit. Plus the guy fought tooth and nail trying to hang onto the club, thinking that being involved with gambling shouldn't be a concern for the owner of a major pro sports franchise.

I don't have a problem with the Niners themselves, I just don't like their fans. In the '90s there were many SF "fans" in Wisconsin, because they always seemed to have double-digit win seasons every year. When they finally dropped off the radar in the early 00s, suddenly no one in this state was wearing a Niners jacket or hat.

i fully expect to see Gore and Robinson in there at QB and RB together. I am sure that BB and DP were able to figure out how to stop it. basically we just need our guys to stay in their lanes and protect against leaving holes the size of my house

When Florio posted his story on Captain Queeg (aka Al Davis) and his tirade this past week, numerous people posted questions about Davis's reference to the Broncos' SBs and asterisks. They had no idea what he was talking about, but everyone on the planet knows about the Pats and their videotaping (I refuse to use the Spy&$% term).

Well if the Pats can't even adjust to the direct snap... that will be a bad sign. I think they'll do some work on that for some reason.
