Direct Snaps a Hot Topic for 49ers-Pats
Sounds like Frank Gore - who is averaging 4.9 yards per carry and is 4th in rushing with 369 yards - is chomping at the bit for some direct snaps.
Gore Ready For Match Of Wits
Even if he does have the most yards from scrimmage, I somehow doubt Gore will ever be on BB's speed dial if/when he becomes a free agent after this comment:
TBC anxious for his first chance this season
I had almost forgotten that he was still in the NFL.
And your obligatory spygate reference from a Pats opponent.
And apparently the concept of local fans not being endeared by the QB their team drafted is a universal hatred.

"I feel good, man," Gore said. "Just trying to win, try to keep getting better stats, try to stay up with the other guys."

"I don't think so," he (Jamie Martin) said of the potential for cheating in that game. "I can't speak for anybody, but I didn't hear anything about it then. Actually, in year's following you kind of heard murmers, but I didn't think anything at the time. They did other things during the game where they were physical ... you know, they just had a game plan that was different than what we'd seen from them in the past. That's what I thought at the time."
