I think it's going to be tough for us, particularly without DWill. Road divisional games are tough enough (as both the Pats and Pitt fanbases know all too well, based on late season results -- it will be that much tougher in the playoffs.
I personally think Pitt could potentially beat anyone on a *single* game basis just due to their explosiveness, so in that sense I suppose I understand the "most dangerous team" label. But that's for a single game. Overall I think we just have too many deficiencies on defense to make a prolonged run.
Plus there's truth to the notion that we struggle a lot more on the road. It would be a tall order to win a road divisional game against Cincy, and then go into Denver and beat that defense again. Both teams may have QB questions, but they're still good teams with good defenses, playing at home in the playoffs. For us to go 4-0 essentially over a 6 week span against those two teams...I dunno. Our defense probably needs another year of seasoning, plus a talent infusion on the back end, to run the table like that.
Personally I think Denver will be the toughest out. That defense is no joke, and they'll be at home throughout with a front 7 that will make life pretty miserable for any teams that can't protect well. I don't necessarily think they're far and away a better team on a neutral field -- I just think the HFA for them, at altitude and with that defense -- will be substantial in an AFC field where most of the teams are struggling with QB issues or injuries.
