what happened to the guy that always posted the Idle Thoughts thread? I been looking for his post since the super bowl. He has incredibly insight on Patriot football and I look forward to his opinion

That’s PatsFanKen, and I’m pretty sure there was something after the SB loss.

Idle thoughts are reactions to games, and there won't be another game until September. In the meantime, let's hope Ken is on a warm beach somewhere.

Eh, I am sure Ken will post his opinion on FA, the draft and camp in one of his famous idle thoughts threads.. at least I hope so..

He's been slow to post after tough losses, if he even gets around to it. I don't think there was an Idle Thoughts after the KC game, for example.

Maybe he's been busy putting effort into thinking about things deliberately.

Thats why he calls them ‘idle’. He he ha ha

If he's not on a warm beach somewhere, we ought to start up a gofundme page and send him there as a reward for all the hard work he does on this forum.

I got an idle thought:

This season left me hungry. I don't think it's just because we lost the SB, I wasn't this hungry after the losses to the Giants, or after some of the seasons when we didn't get there. I think it's because there's change in the wind. How much longer will Brady play? Will Edelman be his old self? How much longer can he play? What's Gronk up to? What are we going to do with the defense? Etc. I'm hungry for the future. What will it look like? We're a bit adrift, and I'm hoping we can metaphorically find someplace, a safe harbor, to re-drop anchor, recondition the ship after each battle, and become the most dangerous frigate on the high seas again.

First of all, get yourself something to eat, even if it's on the dollar menu, or you may get a headache.

For two or three more years, it's Super Bowl or Bust for us, period. Then, if the new people we bring in can assimilate with the holdovers, we can, and hopefully will, stay on top.

I already scouted Atlanta last week, and they're getting ready for us.

Let's be ready for them.

There was not. This was @patfanken 's last thread...

Idle thoughts - pregame rant edition

Don't know if he's even posted since then.

He's posted since the SB a couple of times.

I'm hoping for an old "war" stories type post reflecting back on his playing days. We've seen odds and ends in the past but would be cool to see a thread filled with his and other member's playing day stories.
