What do we have in Welbourn & Flynn?

If veterans like Flynn and Welbourn are on the roster for game 1 then you have to pay them for the entire season. Neal and Ross should end up on PUP and be back week 7. I say they go with 8 OL for Week 1 and cut both Flynn and Welbourn. Neither were employed weeks ago and nobody was knocking their doors down to get them. If either Hochstein or O'Callaghan are on IR, they keep Connolly. After week 1 they re-sign one or both.

Well done, MM. You correctly named all the members of the 3rd-largest position group (2nd-largest if DBs are divided into CBs & Ss) on the team. I hope you're also right that Flynn & Welbourn may be re-signed after Week 1.

sure, pats on the back for you. They're not resigned yet though. I hope one of them is because our OL depth looks scary right now , to me anyway. Homers will disagree.

I'm surprised at these types of moves though.... I guess the players don't really have a choice. Some may call it frugal, but a pro franchise cutting a player for one week so they don't have to pay him a full season just sounds disrespectful to the player to me. I disagree with it but I guess that's why I'm not running an NFL franchise and just blabbering about it on an internet forum. I like all of the other moves.
