What are your Super Bowl viewing plans?

NRG Stadium Section 639.

If I wasn't going I'd watch by myself because I can't stand BS small talk during important games like you would get at a Superbowl party.

My bro and Dad will (more than likely) be watching with me on my bro's widescreen TV, the volume cranked to 11.

Trying to decide between the Patriots fan club in Raleigh NC, and staying home with the family. I won't watch with haters, because...would I bring a heckler to church with me? I wanna strangle them.

OTOH my 6 year old daughter can be sort of annoying to watch games with. She's my kid and I love her, but she doesn't care about football so she just starts to chatter incessantly about ponies and princesses...it's fine during normal games, but....this is the dang Super Bowl.

Watching it by myself. Never again will I watch with other people after going to a viewing party for SB46...
Good thinking, made the same decision after SB42. Barely made it home... and it was not due to too much beer.

Watching at my parents house with my brother and mom. I'm Hoping my husband can get off work in time to come over. I don't watch pats game with anyone other then my family because I don't like being distracted. I am also not that pleasant to be around if things go bad. Lots of screaming, clapping, and swearing. I would probably scare some people.

My parole officer comes over at noon
We chop up some sudafed
Head over to the playgrounds
Pick up some Forties on the way back
Fire up some midget vs farm animal porn
The pros usually arrive during the first quarter
Halftime involves marshmallows, D batteries, and Slapshot scenes featuring the Hanson brothers
Wake up in the AM to see who won.
Go Pats!

Watching at FL winter home on big screen TV. Wife a big Pats fan, so she's allowed.
Normally I avoid watching with others because I direct each play and Pats SBs are a religious experience for me.
Considering inviting a neighboring Pats fan who I just met this fall in a bar watching Pats games, but concerned that he's a Brit and we'll start squabbling over burning our capital to the ground in 1812 and get distracted from football.

Last SB my wife's brother a non-fan was staying here and watched with us. Unexpectedly, my brother & his wife flew down from Boston that very day arriving early for their condo and needed a place to stay and watch. Turned out really great.

Anyone here surprised?
I thought not! :)

Alone, in front of my computer, with beer. G/f will probably be in the bedroom reading or something. That's the way I like it. I don't like SB parties, not that I could go to one here in Argentina. Don't like the distractions.

Will be at Scorpion Wings in Vientiane, Laos with some friends (none are Patriot fans) eating breakfast and watching number 5.

I'm in a quandary. I could watch substance-free (maybe a beer or 2) with my dad and grandpa, or go to my friends' apartment and watch with them.

My grandpa is a major homer while my dad is pretty detached (more of a fantasy player). The dynamic will be my grandpa and I freaking out about every slightly negative play while my dad tries to downplay everything to us.

Alternatively, I could get drunk, smoke some blunts, and watch with my friends who don't know or care about football. They like casually watching and I always have a lot of fun explaining the game to them (don't know if this annoys them or not).

Would feel bad not sharing the experience with my family but me and my grandpa in the same room for a Pats Super Bowl would be an unprecedented amount of hand wringing.

Some friends want me to go to their place for a party, but I get way too emotionally invested in games like this, so i prefer to watch with my wife and maybe a few like minded people

Nothing worse than being on the edge of your seat like a true Pats fanatic and then have a bunch of other people around who don't care and want to play card games, etc.. I've even been to parties where people got "bored" of the game and wanted to do something else

I'm a lunatic when I watch the Pats... so unless I'm going to a place surrounded by other lunatics, I prefer to watch at my own place in peace

my Man cave with a couple of hundred bucks worth of food from Sichuan Gourmet in Sharon

and beer

I've been talked into hosting a party at my house so that's where I'll be.

I definitely scare people.

Cask n Flagon again. We went to the AFCCG in 14 and that year ended up great, blow out win and all. We went to the Steelers game this year. Blowout game too. Gotta keep up the newfound tradition

Pats are 2-0 when I host a Super Bowl party (38, 39)
Pats are 2-0 when I watch the Super Bowl alone at home (36, 49)
Pats are 0-1 when I attend a Super Bowl party at a friend's house (42).
Pats are 0-1 when I go to a bar for a Super Bowl party (47)

I don't know what I am going to do yet, but I can tell you one thing: I am watching it at MY place!

I will be watching at home with immediate family only.

I'm too much of a nervous, focused wreck to be very sociable when the Patriots are involved.

When the Patriots are NOT involved, I usually go to a party or host one. The exception was last year, when I didn't even watch the game for the first time in 30 years due to deflategate hangover fatigue & NFL hatred.

We rented out a bar for the last Super Bowl and are doing the same for this one. Mostly Pats fans with a few neutral fans. If anyone here will be in Denver on Sunday and wants to join us let me know. Food is on me with your first drink. Cash bar after that. Go Pats!

Invited to a party at the clubhouse, food and drinks. I'll probably be the only Pats fan so not sure if I'll go yet. Not because I care what others would say or who they would support but more so to avoid distractions. I so want Pats to win I'll probably be screaming like a little girl when they score.
