Tua honestly scares me a bit. He’s had several nasty ankle sprains and the horrific hip injury that was similiar to Bo Jackson could be a factor. Great player but a lot of question marks....

The secret to quarterbacks is, while freak injuries happen, they don't happen that often. Brady missed an entire season due to one big injury... and didn't miss a single other game the rest of his career. Being snakebitten in college does not, at least for a quarterback (especially one who doesn't really do designed runs) mean he'll be snakebitten in the pros. Degenerative hip issues may be a thing but that's a risk you take, because this guy's got potential to be one of the best.

If he slides a bit, then I think you can gamble. I don't think it's a good idea to trade up into the top 5 to get him. It seems Bill is happy with Stidham, so why not give him some talent? There are some good WRs available at 23d.

There was speculation about Bill trading up with Patricia to get 3, though perhaps not on this board. Frankly, I don't think Tua drops past 5. So realistically 3 is the only spot the Pats could get him.

Apparently Pats are going high in draft for QB. Sounds like they have no faith in Stidham.

I saw some of those reports and I can't see BB moving up high enough to grab one of the top guys. He'd have to give everything up. Should be fun watching next week either way.

Not that I believe that BB will ever move up to 3, but can you imagine the dolphins then moving up to 2 to block them. I would bet they would and obviously they can do it too. I guess the good news is we'd get Chase Young which ironically might be a better pick than Tua.

I am ready to start the season with whomever BB picks as the starter. I think it is crazy to believe that BB will go all out, giving up a lot, to choose a rookie that hasn't played QB in the NFL. If BB had a 1st or 2nd in the first round, he would take a QB. I hope he supports his QB will drafted receivers that might help the new guy.

As you all know, I trust BB, have done and said so since BB took over.
