1 - i am now very tired about this story
2 - i hope Sea or Nyj will give us a first rounder year for him
3 - then close it definitely
4 - i hope this will happen very very soon
there is no possible way he is going to be traded to the jets. it's unlikely he'll be traded anywhere in the AFC at that, why would we trade him to the jets? and help them out?

Alright sorry for being too defensive, just some people like to jump all over others' posts. Next time I will be sure to be more creative and give you a better Harrison trash talk experience, though i must warn I am not known for my creativity. Remind me not to ask my little cousin what the 2nd graders use for trash talk

To be fair, most NFL players aren't that creative anyways either. I just like to think our Rodney would be a step above just from experience.

How many times on those Mic'ed Up skits do you see a player just go "All day, son! All day!"

I'd like to hear him tell an opposing WR "Your sister drives a pickle wagon!".

Branch and a 6th for Engram and a 1st.

That said, I think both the Patriots and Branch are better off with each other, I just don't see how it happens now.
I hope something gets done in the next 2 weeks.

This is really simply guys. Belichick is too busy devising schemes that put players who really care about winning in a position to win to have the time or the inclination to engage in all that touchy feely BS - which when they cut you or your salary eventually as they all do, or throw you under the bus to save their own skins as quite a few of them are prone to do - is all the hugging really ever amounted to.

Belichick doesn't spend a lot of time talking about them as "men" like Herm does, he prefers to treat them like men and see if they respond like men. If they don't then they really don't belong on this team. Life is all about choices.

Who was the last hugger HC to win a Superbowl anyway? Vermeil with the original Greatest Show on Turf? The last 6 have gone to an egomaniacal diva who didn't think the QB or your felony record mattered, an egomaniacal screamer who prompltly lost all his players to a cap purge, a spitter whose tightwad old school owner favors building and re-loading through the draft, and 3 to Bill Belichick who believes deep value based teams and not splashy talent wins championships.

BTW Deion got one of those cushy commercials after he won his MVP, along with an offer to extend him 2 years early. Didn't work then either. The commercials go the the guys who take a little less to win. Bruschi, Harrison, Vrabel, Brown, Colvin. In other words the core guys plus Brady. Deion never exhibited core qualities because while he performed well in spurts he was always in it for himself. When he cried in Denver it wasn't because his team lost - he already knew he was going to start holding out on them in 8 weeks. He was crying because he wasn't going to get another superbowl appearance on his me and Jerry Rice resume.

Pay him whatever the Jets are willing to pay him?

And give him a big hug when he comes back?

.

Mikey, as much as it sux to not have Deion on this team - you know that is overly simplistic to think we just pay him and move on. Were we to do that, what would you then say to those players currently fulfilling their obligations as they wait to enter free agency? How would you deal with Graham, Wilson, Samuels and Koppen? Pay them too?

Why have players stop at reneging with one year remaining? Why not two or three years early, after all, they way Hobbs has played, he certainly has outplayed his rookie contract and deserves more.

Why have contracts at all then? Let's just take the available cap money, toss it in the air and let a free for all ensue. Losing this may have far reaching consequences such as total unfettered free agency as a direct result.

If this grievance turns out poorly for NE & the NFL it will really amaze me. How is it possibly OK for DB to ignore his written and signed contract but it is then OK to sue the pats for supposedly breaching their verbal agreement.
