I didn’t see much comment on here about this, but it seems to be a story in the press now and both BB and JMD have addressed it somewhat vaguely. He not only said they did not practice well (it happens) but also indicated it might have been linked to complaining about the shortened bye. In fact McCourty had mentioned the short bye I think right after the Bills game in a mildly frustrated way. Assuming there is some truth to what he said, do you think saying it in the postgame presser was good or bad, and why did he do it then?

If you didn't see it Ted Johnson, aka Mr Agenda, said he thought that BB told Mac to talk about the bad week of practice so that he did not have to be the bad guy. Seems like a very sketchy take purely based on opinion. It doesn't matter why they played badly if they learn from it and take it out on the Bills this week.

Bedard today said based on the people he talked to no one had any idea what Mac was talking about.

Making up stories as always

Practice is always viewed as important in NE.

And the bye is important to players, especially with families. And they lost not one, but 2 days.

If it bothered the vets then we know it's truth...and we should be concerned about their attitude. My assumption they all acknowledge it and don't care

My thoughts, if you expect him to potentially make the right decisions and accurate throws to help you win the game...then he is a leader and should speak like one. Rookie or not!

Blown way out of proportion. He includes himself in it. It's not like he's calling guys out.

No big deal.

By all accounts, the team is tight. Even when things weren’t going well on the field, early on, they spoke of this camaraderie. Furthermore, vets have spoken highly of Mac. They like him. He works hard.

One loss has everyone on edge. Not in that locker. Rather on the World Wide Web. It’ll be interesting to see how they respond Sunday.

This is what Bedard said:
I asked people around the team, like, ‘What was this?’ And, first of all, not many of them had heard the quote,” Bedard said. ” … When I read it to them, they were just like, ‘What?’

The QB is the team leader. Good for Mac for calling them (himself) out.
