This is ban worthy as far as I'm concerned.

Oh that's just stupid, almost as stupid as the person you want to be banned. I think he's wrong, DEAD wrong and apparantly a lot of people agree with me. But on the other hand I've been him before, disagreeing with the vast majority on the board, so should I have been banned because I had my own opinion? I disagree with his take with every single fibre of my being, but to ban him for having a contrary opinion would be stupid.

Not to mention the fact that I am going to have to spend the whole friggin off-season listening to all my Dolfan pals telling me how great thier team is, because it doesn't matter here in South Florida that it was second teamers or third teamers...

If after all the Super bowls and another trip to the playoffs your fin fans are still able to jerk you then I'd say you just cant stand up for yourself. They got no leg to stand on after the domination we have on the AFC East.

I agree with the other poster you probably lost some money on the game because all I could see were positives:

1. Backup Qb looked good just needs some more experience.
2. Flutie got an extra point
3. Our Backups almost beat their starters

If thats not enough for you obviously there's something else that is bothering you that has nothing to do with this game.

What's too funny is that Armen erased his earlier messages, but it did no good because other posters quoted him in their replies, so it's all there.

Armen's a legendary and great poster (in fact, it was indirectly through him that I learned about this board 4 years ago in a Cafardo article). My guess is that he'll feel a bit sheepish about this when he sobers up.

The banning thing, however, I don't quite get.

I feel your pain, as I too live in S. Florida and will have to put up with the "friends" of mine here that are DOOFIN fans......despite the fact that their STARTERS played against our 2nd and 3rd teams, they consider it a huge WIN, feel that they have had a very SUCCESSFUL season, and think that it is verifiable proof that because they beat the pats (never mind the second or 3rd stringer part of the equation) they are going to the super bowl next year, and that their coach is the next Vince Lombardi! They are obnoxious, ignorant and pathetic "fans" that jump on and off their team's bandwagon daily........I have never seen such ROTTEN fans in my life...anywhere........I can just see the damned Palm Beach Post sports headlines tommorrow gloating over this meaningless win against our scrubs......and in adoration of a coach that they wanted to hang 6 games ago......now all of a sudden he is a savior and genius....once again...PATHETIC......so believe me, I FEEL YOUR PAIN....and I hate the doofins and their fans more than anyone.....

However, that all having been said....Belichick employed perfect strategy today. Now that we have the AFC east sewn up and are going to the playoffs........what is the advantage to A) playing your starters and jeopardize THEM for the upcoming playoffs, B) showing your upcoming playoff opponent any more "locker room tape" than you need to........and most likely playing for the #4 seed....which will match us up against what may be a "weaker" opponent ( alot of people have been talking about that it is better to face jax at home, than perhaps Pitt ...........Anyways, Today we had NOTHING TO PLAY FOR.....and keeping our first guys in there for pride and again, jeopardizing them for the playoffs......is ludicrous........think of this.......Brady goes down today in this meaningless game......and is out for the year (gawd forbid)........after playing in this game that MEANS NOTHING........now we head into the playoffs with flutes and cassel......would you be happier with that saying "Well what the heck we play every game....balls to the wall.....and that is the way it goes"....and have NO CHANCE in the playoffs?

Its all about strategy at this point in the season Armen. And, believe me, again, there is nothing that bothers me more than losing to the damned doofins (in ANY fashion)....however, because it HELPED the team.....I can deal with the mouthing that I am going to have to deal with tommorrow........

PS....as we speak, they are erecting a statue of Nick "Lombardi" Saban at Pro player!

I only erased them because I want to "mockingly" conform to the mindless stroll of apathy that has permeated this board and Patriots fans in general since we've started winning.

And, in fact, waited to erase them until I was sure they were quoted in other forms.

BTW, I don't gamble, and I don't drink, so both those theories are off the mark...

I have been a Pats fan a long time and a poster and writing contributor on this board a long time...

I don't make personal attacks on other posters, I only swear for effect, and I generally enjoy any kind of sports talk.

But, I also speak my mind, with a passion, about the Patriots and the goings-on therein...

It is my belief that you always play to win, whether it's the NFL or my Monday night softball league or my kids' 5-year old t-ball games!

You never allow the culture of "concession" to become part of your team's mentality.

That's what Belichick did today.
