There is a lot of important football to be played this week but not too early for a sneak peak.

A few points.

Miami can be run on. They allow 132 rushing yards per game (3rd worst) at an average of 4.8YPA. Expect a lot of runs this game just like todays game.

Miami can stop the pass and rush the passer. Their defenseive QB rating is 7th best at 83.8 and they give up 234 YPG. They do give up TDs pretty often but they get interceptions fairly consistently tend to not let you hit that big play.

Miami's total sack number isn't impressive and middle of the pack but they get more pressures than sacks. This will be a good game to show our OL off and limit that.

Miami has won 9 of its last 10 so is playing some very good football right now and knows how to pull out close wins. Losing Tannehill hasn't hurt them. Maybe even helped.

On offense it starts of course with the run and Ajayi. Stop him and you limit a lot of what they like to do. This run D did okay today and hopefully we see more Malcom Brown next week. For passing it is Landry and Stills and Parker. I worry more about Stills than Landry as he is the big play guy. Don't let him get behind you and pick up huge chunks. Landry is a very good WR but not one of those guys who will beat you by himself IMO. So basically another stop the run and take away the over the top game. That will stop their O pretty well I think. Their O has done pretty well and will be a good test before the playoffs.

On D of course it is about Wake and Suh. Those guys are the heart of their D. If The OL holds I think Brady can pick apart the decent but not particularly special DBs. Maxwell and having a good year but no one else really is. Rashad Jones is a guy to watch too next year. A Safety/LB hydrid type who seems to really have stepped up this year. Sadly he is out for the year though but just worth noting.

I think we expose Miami very similar to what the Ravens did to them, and FourierSeries thats a good idea I mean Carr is out for the season so why even bother and I like said in another thread I don't see Miami making it pass the wild card and I highly doubt Miami can take on us, In the postseason tho I wouldn't undermine a playoff match with them since they would still be a divisional match (2010 Jets)

Wasn't Ajayi injured on that last play.

I think both teams sit starters next week as I see the Chiefs winning against Denver.

yeah shoulder but he says he is fine.

With Carr's injury, next week's game doesn't mean as much to me. I'm already on to the postseason.

I know and I feel the same but 3 weeks and 1 day is a long time to wait. May as well look forward to Miami a bit. Even if both teams only play half the game or less there is something to be gained from it.

Why not get the first seed? So if it comes to it you don't need to face Pit till the AFCCG. Maybe they get knocked out before you play them. That is worth playing for. That is the reason the first seed is important still and why we should go for it.

I could be wrong but if the Steelers beat the Ravens... And the Chiefs beat the Broncos then I think Miami clinches a playoff berth regardless if they win next week or not. I think both of those games are tomorrow so Miami might be resting players the last week of the season.

Yeah - just ran through the playoff simulator and if the Chiefs win tomorrow night then Miami is the 6th seed no matter what, so no reason for them to try to win next week. It'd be great to see them rest Suh so we don't have to deal with that dirty ****er.

I already miss Tannehil. I was looking forward to one of those botched snaps that lead to a safety. That's his thing.

I'm not scared of their passing, I'm scared of their running attack, this week we need to focus on stopping the run and contain them and do not give outside lanes. As long as the above are taken care of we gonna be fine.

I still want the top seed. People here seemed overconfident since carr went down. Kansas City could find out earlier if they're in the playoffs. If the ravens lose. I hope denver loses tomorrow. I don't want them in the playoffs.

I'd like to win in Miami just to answer what happened last year when we lost to the Jets and Dolphins to close it out. Belichick seems to have learned from that experience, and to have the exact opposite result this year surely would be a good sign for how the postseason might go.

Not really considering we dropped the last game In '14 and went on to win the super bowl and our last 2 two games of '10 we won in a blow out (34-3 against the bills, 38-7 against the Dolphins) and went one and done to the Jets (same season Brady one the MVP)

Getting the second seed would get you a date with pittsburgh in the divisional round if they win tomorrow. People think denver will beat oakland in the final. I don't think so. Denver could be out of the playoffs tomorrow.
