Burrow is really good. Even without Chase. This would be another good test for the defense

Yep but this is Mike Brown's Bungles we're talking about. Sane and sensible seldom enters the equation. Cheap is always on the table but that doesn't really factor in here
Do agree with this. The Bengals can’t be trusted to make the decision they should make.

The thing about my long post no one has commented on (which was kind of the main point of it) is does this team have the talent to win it all if Williams can't contribute? I look at the 52 of other teams and I have my doubts. Yeah we have the WB but a better 52 is hard to over come.

I just think at some point this team will need a huge play or two from Williams in the playoffs. If he can't deliver this year it doesn't mean he's a bust but it probably means no super bowl win.

And I do stand by the belief Vrabel is in part playing an ineffective Williams cause he knows without him they don't have enough to put them over the top.

Those players could all play and I think the Pats would still win. The Bengals aren’t good, the Pats are. To me it’s that simple.

So Bengals... No Burrow, No Chase, No Hendrickson, No Taylor-Britt.... Jesus.

Well, I expected the Patriots to win, but now don't they absolutely have to? I mean if they lose this what do you even say?

Miami is the team most likely to beat the Pats next imo. Divisional rival who are playing better of late and usually tend to have one victory against the Pats every season.

Drake should be able to perform a clinic against that Bengals D.

the posted (written) quote doesnt do justice to Drew. It reads a lot more critical than it sounds, particularly in context. He had just joked that 'hey that Brady guy that replaced me didnt amount to anything.' then he says 'the little ****' in an obvious like 'Big Brother' kind of tone.

Drew is a good guy. I really wish Tuna wasnt such a **** so that Drew had a Ring he could lay claim to fully on his own. He was pissed when Tuna benched Troy Brown for the SB. And the lack of chips for the OL on the GB DEs was just unconscionable. But Tuna had his agenda and it wasnt delivering a Trophy to RK.

Hope you didnt have your feelings hurt .....

Anyway; if Williams could just catch a few; then when he runs his go-routes he would drag off 2 defenders and you can play 10 on 9 in the front half. But until he does prove he can catch something more than a cold; no defense is even fully committing 1 guy to him.

I dont think @patfanken or I or others disagree w/ you that it would great to have that ability to force a numbers situation. But it is just the PATH TO GET THERE. I think Vrabes did increase his snaps over what he 'deserved' in games Vrabes was pretty sure we would win with or without Williams. A horrible D like Bungles is probably another game he could get some practice in 'almost real environment'; so sure try it again. I just have low expectations & he doesnt appear to me to have much trust from Drake 'Drake Maye' Maye.

I believe its Buffalo.

If the Pats don’t win the superbowl do I think the margin of error will be Williams vs anyone else who could realistically take his place?

No

Yeah I think it's all smoke talk about Joe Burrow possibly playing. Even if he does; the Bengals aren't very good without Ja'Marr Chase. Also we get Kayshon Boutte back I want to see them try and stop Diggs - Boutte - H Henry and Barefoot Mack Hollins. I think our Third Down conversions will be unreal in this game: probably close to 90%.

This. There's a better chance it will be Jake Browning than it will be Joe Burrow.

They would be crazy to have burrow come back from that kind of injury to play a sunday and Thursday game back to back. In a meaningless season at this point
Well he IS rested.

Might be less taxing with Sunday then Thursday games as compared to someone already worn down from earlier games.

Bob at least he flashed in that game he's right where he needs to be: plus we have a Bye-Week coming up. IF Boutte is back at full strength and Barefoot Mack Hollins playing like he is...do we really need KW?? I mean he's fifth on our depth chart. All KW have to do is keep practicing and get as much reps with Maye as he can.

Burrow was a 100% participant at Bengals Wednesday practice.

Yes, because Willams needs the snaps and to be ready if he should be called up for a full time job.

Hopefully he learned from the Jets game that a 25 yard reception and 1st down is also good as a bomb TD.

Is it Sunday yet?

I would say it would be negligent to put Burrow out there but then again this is the Bengals.

Line went from 7 points to 8.5 points when Chase was suspended.
Now back to 8.5 points since Burrow is practicing and probably playing.

They better have a ****ing pass rush plan on Sunday. This defense might get exposed a bit with Burrow.
