Who cares????....if the league calls it a rushing TD-- great. If they call it a recieving TD great. All I care is it was a TD.
yes, that was a great formation and they can do alot out of it, ie, fake the quick toss to Welker, and have one of the TE's be the primary receiver, etc, etc, but one thing before we all get too carried away with that play, if you look at the replay, Cincy only had two defenders out there to cover the three Pats, so the TEs were blocking one on one, and there was no one to stop Wes. That kind of D oversight probably isn't going to happen again anytime soon.
Maybe I'm just being paranoid after the league called a Brady TD pass to Faulk several years ago a backward pass...but I noticed that the pass was thrown and caught exactly at the same spot...no forward movement, no backward movement. Is this still considered a pass?

You obviously don't play Fantasy Football. All the people who have Brady on their team (my brother included) would be very upset if this were scored a rushing TD rather than a receiving one.
I thought it looked like a lateral too (if you watch the replay, Wes takes a step backwards at the snap), and it was brilliant. What maybe didn't show on TV was that they lined up in that formation and stood there for about 10 seconds and the Bengals made no move to shift a 3rd guy over there. My H and I were muttering, "Only 2 defenders. What are they doing?" Obviously they were asking themselves the same thing. A linebacker shifted over there once the play started, but he ran right into either Crumpler or Gronk (can't remember who was on the inside) and his man, and boom, Wes was by him.
Unless you have Brady for a fantasy QB, why does it matter if it is a passing or rushing td?

I do play FF. But not for money.
Mostly likely I am gonna lose this week. And if I win I am gonna be pissed.
One of my WR is TO. My opponant had Welker. Yet still I cheered when Welker got TDs.
For me to win. My QB (Mark Sanchez) needs to get 12 more points than his QB (Flacco). I am rooting for me to lose FF big time.
I never let FF get in the way of rooting for the Patriots.
But even if you put three guys over there, either GRONK or WWW is probably going to be open anyways.
