The Elf: 4.71, 6.77
And the Elf is stronger and his route running is obviously better.
But to make this team, this kid will have to do something great on ST's if he is going to make this team. He has to follow Jules' roadmap and become a punt returner and excel with his good hands and short area quickness. He is already way ahead of Jules as a receiver.
Even though the 40 time is not good, his 3 cone shuttle is excellent. Still hoping he can improve his straight line speed.
Would love to see him make the team but its a longshot no doubt.
Welkers 3-cone was over 7 sec.Welker ran a 4.65 40.
I love Chism but even I will admit a 4.71 40 time for an NFL slot receiver is terrible and certainly a red flag. Now maybe he would or could do better. Not asking for a 4.4 but 4.71 is horrible. I have confidence that if he puts in the work he should be able to improve on that.Welkers 3-cone was over 7 sec.
And Chism have the School receiving record just saying.Cooper Kupp also played at East Washington.
Just sayin.
Yeah but remember those 4.3 Guys ain't running that with the pads on. Remember some guys Play faster than their 40 times.A 4.7 forty for a WR is hard to get around. Christ I ran a 4.8. But so did Rodney Harrison who managed a long and close to HOF career by overcoming his lack of raw speed, by great instincts and anticipation and force of will.

He DID look faster on film. Is that 40 time real. However, it's a great story and he will be a binky favorite in TC, but I can't get passed the 4.7. That's the same speed as our 265lb UDFA TE ran.
As with all these kids, from Campbell on down - We shall see.
Sam we are NOT asking him to run by people: Kyle Williams will do that. We are asking Chism to get some Tough yards over the middle...you know move the chains.I love Chism but even I will admit a 4.71 40 time for an NFL slot receiver is terrible and certainly a red flag. Pat Bryant a WR I really like no pun was taken in the Third Round by Denver. IF you watch his tape there is a lot to like: but he ran an abysmal 4.61 40. Denver obviously wasn't going by that 40 time: they went after the body of work.Yeah but remember those 4.3 Guys ain't running that with the pads on. I am SO looking for the next Edelman who set a record at that time with his 3 cone.Sam we are NOT asking him to run by people: Kyle Williams will do that. We are asking Chism to get some Tough yards over the middle...you know move the chains.
I am with you!Sam we are NOT asking him to run by people: Kyle Williams will do that. We are asking Chism to get some Tough yards over the middle...you know move the chains.
Pop was a 6th round pick. He does not own the job and needs to compete for it if he wants it. Its not like he is Justin Jefferson. Hope Efton gets a fair chance to competeWould if he stunning if Chism ends up taking Pop’s job in the slot?
Not saying, just spit-balling a bit.
Wasn’t one game ending Maye int determined that Pop wasn’t where he was supposed to be?
Pop has great physical quickness, but what about mental quickness?
