Lost in the shuffle a little bit was the return of Brandon Spikes, who I thought played really well at times last night.

If nothing else, he really seems to give the defense an extra shot of energy and emotion.

Spikes was balling last night!

Glad to see him having an impact in these playoffs since he was injured/not involved much late last season.

I know Spikes has been much maligned this season and preseason for speculations based on innocuous tweets, but the guy not only has a nose for the ball, but he brings an attitude to the defense.

I can only dream what a healthy Spikes, Mayo, and hopefully one day Cunningham bring to our LB corps. Add in Fletcher and Ninkovich and we have a very solid group!

Ninko and Spikes were all over the place last night. I can't believe how good Ninko has been playing lately...i thought the guy was destined to be a career JAG but he has improved by miles from last season.

Not holding my breath. He has a long way to go.

Given that both potential AFCCG opponents are physical, run the ball first offenses, Spikes' performance last night was great to see and bodes well for next week.

Spikes and Chung= a more solidified , physical defense

Spikes is a quality LB. Glad to see him out there.

He's going to be valuable vs the Texans, Ravens, 49ers, or Giants.
