As crazy as it sounds... the Pats have a real chance at the first seed. Colts are a good team but the hard part of their schedule is coming up. KC, Jags 2x, Seattle, SF, Pitt, HOUx2. The Texans aren't that good but their defense can turn both game into a rock fight. They could end up 5-4 the rest of the way very easily. 6-3 is probably the best they do. That puts them 13-4.
KC's schedule is tough the rest of the way.. It was tough all year. But they could easily just about run the table now that they are healthy and have people back and keep getting the call. They could finish with 5 or even just 4 loses and it wouldn't surprise me. IF we tie them we will probably end up losing the tie breaker somehow. You just know it.
If KC manages to get by the Bills, i have a suspicion they will be able to tie us record wise (not that that be the worst thing in the world if we don't get the first seed TBH. I hope they don't get it again. But to be totally honest I don't want the Pats to have the first seed either.
Unless they make a huge splash before the deadline this shouldn't be their year. And if they get the first seed a fair amount of the easier to beat teams are out and that likely limits their run. What I'd REALLY like is the 2nd seed as of now.
With the 2nd seed it isn't impossible the Pats get 3 games in the playoffs this year and an AFCCG. That be a ton of playoff experience for the entire team and really prep them for next years run. Then again, if they end up with the 1st seed i won't exactly complain.
In any case I'd like KC to lose, cause i always root against them. I hate their fans, hate the DEMONSTRABLE, FACTUAL, red bias. And the Mahomes love annoys me a little. And i thought it was bad with Peyton or Rodgers... my goodness.
