I love Onwenu at RT, all pro stud at the position.

Hard to argue so far this year. My only caveat above was if we don't have Mason (and Brown is back) I'd rather use the combination that has Brown or Wynn on the field over James Ferentz.

Yeah it's a tough call. You want your "best 5" but I don't know if I want to move Onwenu out of the tackle spot... I would almost rather be deficient at RG for a game or two with Ferentz but solid enough at the tackles, as opposed to moving Onwenu around yet again just to get Brown on the field and then having to play musical chairs again if Brown sustains another injury. Ride it out with Ferentz and rotate Brown in for Wynn and Onwenu a bit to keep everyone healthy. Hell, maybe even play Brown next to Onwenu as a sixth OL when you really need 1 yard.

Promising news to start important week (except for Mt.Brown)

Given the timing and game situation, I figured Mason was pulled from the Jets game simply due to the game being in hand and his nursing the existing injury. So I’m not surprised he’s back.

Great news about McCourty and Smith though, those were new injuries that I didn’t believe were precautionary removals.

We know #34 is Poole, not sure who #13 is yet

expected although interesting that its PS signing.

I guess one spot on 53 goes to Ferentz who has no more elevations iirc

The way the practice squad is run today, they can add him to the game day roster twice before they have to add him to the active roster. As he is learning the defense and getting back into football shape, no need to use a roster spot on him. If he is ready to play this Sunday, activate him to the gameday roster and then put him on the practice squad again next week.

Pats are going to need to win this game by running the ball, controlling the clock, limiting the Charges possessions and winning special teams.

This is a difficult passing offense to defend on it's own, combine that with Jones being put on IR and McCourty ailing, I expect the Pats to have a lot of issues defending the pass. I expect the Pats to give a lot of safety and backer help on the receivers, which will make defending Eckler in the passing game very difficult.

With Onwenu at RT and the line hopefully gaining more cohesion I think the Pats will have success running the ball and throwing it off of play action.

As with most games it probably comes down to the turnover differential because I expect both teams to be able to move the ball.

True. But its not a safe place (he worked out elsewhere too). If they believe/hope he can replace JoJo 53 should be in play sooner than later.
They have protection option but have never used it in two seasons. In any case both parties know where they stand atm and PS players are free to choose where they sign/stay.

He was released on October 12th and looking for a job after spending the rest of the season on the Jets' IR. I don't know if he is ready to play for anyone. And if other teams were interested in Poole, I am sure the Pats would have put him on the active roster.

An hour before NE selected Mac Jones at #15 in the draft, I posted this (paraphrase):

My NE source tells me their round 1 Plan A is Mac Jones and the team is willing to move up a couple slots for him. Their Plan B is Northwestern OT Rashawn Slater (selected #13 Chargers). And Penn State LB was removed from their draft board.

I mention this in this Chargers thread because from all reports Slater is a home-run OT

Why in the world would Billy (foolishly, if true) have Micah Parson's name removed from his draft board?

The simplest explanation would be they expected him to go before they picked, and he wasn't on the short list of guys they were willing to trade up to get. I'm sure they didn't have Trevor Lawrence on their board either, but that doesn't mean they didn't think he was a good player.

I hope so.

A lot going on today. Here is a list of the Injuries along with the transactions:

About dam time that a vet DB was brought into the building... Should've happened Immediately after the Gilmore trade, if not even sooner.
Sean Wade also was back at practice today, he should be able to help in the secondary. What are your thoughts on him?
