Given the timing and game situation, I figured Mason was pulled from the Jets game simply due to the game being in hand and his nursing the existing injury. So I’m not surprised he’s back.

Great news about McCourty and Smith though, those were new injuries that I didn’t believe were precautionary removals.

Those are 3 guys we really need on the field to have a shot at the playoffs.

Sean Wade also was back at practice today, he should be able to help in the secondary. What are your thoughts on him?

There are doubts that Wade has the long speed or savvy to stay at Outside CB; his position of the future might be Free Safety... same as SloJuan Williams... and Jalen Mills...

Barmore is getting double teamed significantly more often than Aaron Donald? What in the world?

I read the quadrant report as Barmore is double teamed slightly more but Donald beats the double-teams more frequently.

Still though, the fact he is being double-teamed more than Aaron Donald is crazy.

Unsure. I don't see Judon double-teamed a lot. I see him get chipped by a TE and a RB fairly often but because hes so good he beats them

Gresh just had on a guy who covers San Diego. It sounds like their defense, at least the middle that's been shredded on the game last few games, will be back 100% healthy. I really hope this isn't one of those McDaniels "run" games where he keeps running, running, running into 3 and outs and the Pats find themselves down 10-0 or 14-0 fast....

I think I am gong to the game....

I have only seen the Patriots lose TWICE in my lifetime....one was against the Cowboys.....I left early...forget why and Herschel Walker had a long TD to cap it....the other time was against the Chargers back in 2005....that day sucked.

But I am perfect on road games...@NYJ in 2002, @SDC in 2014, @SF in 2016, and of course @SBLI....

On passing downs, there’s rarely anyone else rushing against the middle of the line, thus Barmore is double-teamed a lot on those downs. It was the same for Adam Butler the last couple of seasons.
