Here's a look at the effect of today's games
Packers 9, Jets 0
- No recap necessary
Dolphins 22, Bengals 14
- Miami moves to 4-3; still 2 games behind the Pats
- Cincy loses and drops to 1 1/2 games behind Oakland
Raiders 33, Seahawks 3
- Not good for that draft pick in exchange for Seymour
Chiefs 13, Bills 10
- Looks like the best the Pats can expect is #34 with that Carolina pick
Chargers 33, Titans 25
- A win-win for the Pats
- SD wins to catch up and hopefully pass Oakland in the standings
- Tennessee loses which could help playoff seedings
Rams 20, Panthers 10
- Another win-win for the Pats
- Carolina loss makes that 2nd round draft pick look better and better
- A Rams win = better chance of StL finishing ahead of Oakland
Lions 37, Redskins 25
- Detroit win puts them ahead of Carolina, on the heels of Oakland
- Washington should still be able to finish ahead of the Raiders
Bucs 38, Cardinals 35
- Tampa Bay is ahead of Oakland and Carolina
- An Arizona win would have been nice to stay ahead of the Raiders
Jaguars 35, Cowboys 17
- At this point root for Jacksonville to have a better record than Oakland, and for Dallas to have a better record than Carolina; doesn't look like there's much hope right now for the Cowboys to have a better record than the Raiders.
