I tend to agree Polk is a better Z or slot than X, though he’s been an okay X. Who would be a better X though? Bourne has typically also played Z. Perhaps Boutte? I think you probably want to have Bourne and Polk on the field together as much as possible though.

Yeah, some funny business where they knew Cardona would be limited at Friday’s practice despite practicing in full with no injury designation on Thursday. Almost like he got hurt doing something else Thursday evening.

This game is so intriguing because it seems like the fans and the press are split on if Maye should be playing already. Excited to be there tomorrow to see him get his first start wearing the throwbacks. Forecast at kickoff is 54 degrees with a 60 percent chance of rain.

Cardona was on Friday's Injury report. Since downgraded to out.

Or he pulled up lame during stretching on Friday.

Is it just me or is it weird that they didn’t elevate Hudson a second time from the PS? They signed Ben Brown midweek, but he’s been here all of a few days. If something happens to Leverett then your new center is this guy who is probably still living in a hotel.
Maybe they think Jordan can do it but I’ve never seen any reports of him doing it in practice.

Now that Maye is starting I can actually start to care about this team again. Like I said, I don't mind losing but not with Maye on the bench and Brissett starting.

I'd say most don't.

Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Steve Young, Kurt Warner, Troy Aikman, John Elway, James Harrison didn't exactly shine when they started in the NFL. Josh Allen was mediocre in his rookie season. Terry Bradshaw's TD/INT was hilariously bad in his rookie year. Even Adam Vinatieri was nothing special in his first year.

Maybe some positions are more successful than others.

You can see a learning curve whether a QB plays right away or not.

I keep coming back to the fact that so many players are no longer playing.

If, back in May, I told you that we would have all the following players out for one reason or another, you would've thrown in the towel:

Barmore, Judon, Bentley, Peppers, Andrews, these are key players and captains.

Yep. The O/U was only 4.5 and that was before all those players were lost. Next man up is difficult when there are only boys in line.

i don’t care if you want to trade him, his trade value is nothing.

I guess RB was “more important”, but.. still. I may have rather cut a player and signed Jennings to the active roster instead so that I could elevate Hudson once more for the week.
