Gibson has been good IMO, he was a stud when he came up, struggled/Got hurt...got replaced.
We took a chance with his actual SKILL.
He's been good, worrying about health is all I ever felt.
He's really fkn good, run, catch, flash outside.
People forget how good he was.

Man, stinks to be without Rham. But, might be time to get K. Harris as a call-up.

I have a feeling Boutte might be a surprise star of this game. He's been showing up more.

I really hope they stick with OL lineup - keep Onwenu at RG. Let Jacobs get more time at RT.

If Jacobs however becomes a turnstile again, then the coaches should seriously consider moving the Sow to RG and return Onemenu to RT

Upcoming headline:

MAYE DAY - Revamped Patriots stun Texans in Rookie's Debut!

I’m going to baselessly speculate that there might be a little Cardona on the way. Not many other explanations for signing a backup LS when Cardona is at practice and not on the injury report.

Edit: new calf injury just reported today

Boutte looks like a nice complimentary guy making the best of his opportunities that's all you can ask for. I'm intrigued to see if K.J. Osborn comes alive with Maye.
Always said it Boutte has a great upside, watrch him now that Maye is throwing the ball.

I'm excited. I was initially not a fan of Maye, so I want to see if he can make me a believer. If he manages to score 20 points in the coming weeks then consider me sold.

Now that’s some old school gamesmanship. Given that he was just released on Wednesday, he may have even seen the Texans’ gameplan for the week.

I originally had this as a loss for the Patriots, but now I believe they can pull it out. The difference I believe is the defense won't be on the field so long that they become exhausted. They could hold Texas to about 20 points and I think with Maye in the Patriots can score a little more.

It will be interesting.

Barth had a chat with a Texans beat reporter yesterday. You can tell most of the Boston media types have zero idea of what's going on with the other teams. National guys too. Quick summation:

Texans play 2 corners 100 percent of the time. Singletary is healthy. The other one isn't, I think it Lassiter.
Mixon is healthy and he said he drives the offense for the Texans. Something to look out for.

As far as Maye, he said he couldn't believe the BS coming out of the nationals reporters etc about how scary it would be for Maye. He said the edge guys are A+ but the middle guys, even for bad offensive lines....they aren't scary. So that means he doesn't see much pressure up th middle for Maye. He also said the talk about it being horrible to put Maye in against that Texans defense...is laughable. He thinks Maye will be fine, make rookie mistakes etc but people are blowing stuff out of the world for no reason. Still thinks the Texans should win, but should be a better game with Maye.

Interesting I thought.

The idea floating around that if Maye can manage to get rid of the ball faster than Brissett (a pretty good bet, I would think), that just might shorten the time the o-line has to hold their blocks and might be juuuust enough to tip them over into "serviceable." We think of the o-line making the QB's job easier, but the opposite also can work.
