I think the Pats defense played well enough but the Bucs went back to scoring a lot of points since that game so BB didn’t solve them or anything.

Bill didn’t create a blueprint for solving that Tampa offense. If he did other teams would copy it and be successful.

I’m sure BB is at least thankful the Bucs didn’t score 70 and nobody was calling for his job the next morning.

yeah it’s an amazing process, they have the real grass in trays that are retractable.

not sure why the NFL doesn’t play on the grass surface, much better for the players

The Bucs only scoring 19 was not a “win“ for Bill either. I think the Pats defense played well enough but the Bucs went back to scoring a lot of points since that game so BB didn’t solve them or anything. It was just a weird night. I believe Brady wanted to kick the crap out of the Pats and the emotion and the moment of the night made him press a bit. It will not happen again. Pats have shown through 5 weeks they are a work in progress and they’re not ready to take on the big dogs of the league right now.

BB vs Tom has already been decided in a landslide and that game meant little in the overall picture. Brady‘s team won the SB and looks like they have a good chance to repeat. Bill’s team missed the playoffs with a losing season last year, and a better chance than not that the same will apply this year. Unless Mac makes a gigantic second year leap there’s a good chance Bill will never make .500 as a coach without Brady.

I said their defense played well enough. Nobody is saying the Pats sucked that night. Well maybe except for the decision to kick on 4th and 3, that sucked.

But it was obvious Brady just had an off game and that contributed a lot to the result. He was pressing. It happens. Wasn’t the first time.

And BB didnt “solve” anything. If he did, the Dolphins the next week would have copied the blueprint instead of having their doors blown off.

He has been very underwhelming overall.
