NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Week 6: Other NFL games

Saban makes himself look more and more stupider with every Alfac ad he does.
I absolutely hate for him to do any commercials, and he is my guy!

However, it does make me feel better to know that he donates all the money he earns from those commercials to the charity he runs, Nicks Kids.

It was a weird game for both teams and it showed. I think both teams are glad it's done.

Doubtful that the Bucs will score under 20 this season again. I don't think BB "exposed" them like some are saying, they're pretty much still scoring at will. But the Pats defense did all right.
I watched some film on that game. Bill's schemes didn't confuse Brady at all. Two things happened:

1. Brady was off (for whatever reason) missing wide open receivers;
2. Multiple receiver drops, possibly because of the rain.

JJ was constantly burnt by AB. Godwin was getting open. I had concerns about our secondary after watching the film. It got further exposed by a rookie Texan QB with a 142 passer rating.

People keep ignoring the issues with the secondary (not sure what's going on). I hope they fix the issues or they're going to get torched by Prescott.

If anyone deserves credit, it's Judon who played very well.

One drop in the EZ and one drop inside the 5 were the difference between 19 and 30 pts.

i guess you’ll give all the credit to the Miami D for keeping the Pats O to 16 pts?

You can play the “If…., then….” game most weeks. Does it make you feel better to delude yourself into believing that Bill and the Pats D didn’t have anything to do with the struggles on offense? Brady going 22/43 with no TDs was all about Tampa shooting themselves in the foot? You’re really going all-in on that cold take? Were you hyperventilating during the game, watching Tommy looking uncomfortable and getting upset? It was another masterful game plan by the GOAT coach, who showed that he still gas the juice as a tactician. That doesn’t take away from the overall ridiculousness of what Brady is doing but your take is exposing your bias.

He really did. Our MVP up to this point.

We'll see how good this secondary really is right now on Sunday.

yes the Miami D was partly responsible for holding thee Patriots to 16 points. They have a good secondary and our OL collapses within 3 seconds from their DL

Claiming any time a team doesn't score that it's the offenses fault and defense had no effect on it is disingenuous and just trying to create a narrative. Drops are part of the game. If you play that game then if Taylor doesn't fumble the Patriots are up. If slater doesn't stay out of bounds so long then the fumble stands and Patriots are driving

See how that game goes?
And maybe the patriots won 34-30 I have no problem with that. In fact, i would have loved that. I don’t argue the outcome of the game. I am just arguing that, for me, the reason they scored 19 points has more to do about their own mistakes than the pats defense.

Calling this gameplan masterful is ridiculous in my opinion. They didn’t stop them. They had almost 400 yards of offense with 3 drops. Honestly, I didn’t see Brady confused by anything Bill did in that game. I saw Brady missing open receiver all night long.

Judon is terrible vs the run and has trouble setting the edge. It is interesting to me that we spent all that money on him and punted on Chandler Jones because "sacks are overrated." lol

It was a strange game. To me the Tampa offense looked overwhelmed by the emotion of the game. It had a playoff like atmosphere. Both Jackson and Mills played a really good game. Jones was eaten alive by AB but AB has been doing that all season. Many analysts who have reviewed the game said Brady never looked confused or uncomfortable but he for sure was missing and his receivers were dropping passes.

What stood out to me the most about that game especially if you compare to last night's game with Hurts getting two huge PI calls down the field, is Mac never tried that sorry secondary. Not one heave against that JV squad. I mean the Eagles were stifled all night by that front 7 but once Hurts aired it out, they got the big plays and were right back in the game and would have possibly won it if the GOAT didn't crush their hearts at the end with the game sealing 5 minute drive to end it with his QB sneak.

Mac has got to start airing it out at some point. I would like to see it happen this Sunday.

Anytime the Patriots do anything good - two wins, for example - it's because of the other team's deficiencies.

Anytime something bad happens, it's not becauset he other team executed something perfectly (the flea flicker against the Texans, for example), but because the Patriots SUCK.

Don't you know that? How do you expect to contribute in Douche and Squeaky Land without that basic information in hand?

Wow.. he really does brutal things to himself just to help out some kids. Good for him.

It is quite funny the board loves him since he's close to the lead in....sacks when the argument used from Bill since 2018 he made en vogue for stat nerds was "pressures". I haven't noticed him in run support as I see teams running up the middle mostly.

Yes, the defense had nothing to do with that....

The officials, combined with the Bucs receivers' dropped passes, and Brady just being a bit off for most of the night, is what kept the Bucs under 30 points. That should be obvious to anyone who watched that game.

Or are you going to try arguing that things like Brady throwing high on multiple passes where the receiver was clearly open and there was no pressure on the QB were a product of BB's zen magery?

How is it possible that you don't see the irony in your post?

It's Sunday morning. Who is pumped and jacked (Pete Carroll homage) for Jags/Dolphins?

With the Pats no longer in the league’s elite I bet we’re looking at more London games at the expense of home games. hopefully not

If Tua doesn't show something the next couple weeks, Miami will be throwing picks to Houston for the serial molester.

The only 1 in the combined 1-9 record of these teams were courtesy of a Damien Harris fumble
