a.) Have not yet read the entire thread, but my post game thoughts below.

b.) Brady was pretty good last night outside of: Two interceptions that were on Hogan/Gronk & two dirt balls to Gordon....otherwise pretty good. 500 TD's and 71 different receivers....amazing.

c.) I didn't like the protection up front at times. It seemed like we were having the tackles step out a bit to push the rushers wide....but IMO, Brady got hit too much. Only takes ONE HIT to end our season. Run blocking was very good other than on the goal line early in the game before we tossed a TD to Patterson.

d.) Gronk played well...other than the deflected ball. Looked like he played with some pain and was a bit tired. We need the mini-BYE for him. And I saw Hollister out there too. Allen was invisible, but probably blocked someone.

e.) James White....man...if this guy goes down...we are screwed. Michel..man I love having a real running back again! Loved how he ran behind Develin on a few carries...there was NOTHING, but Michel still picked up 1-2 yards vs. taking a loss.

f.) Edelman....I didn't like how we just let him hit the ground running...but man...he looked good other than a drop along the sideline on our 2nd/3rd drive. Can we have Cyrus Jones back at PR please? Yes, Edelman is more explosive...but we need him! Gordon...man...4 attempts his way...two of which were dirt balls...otherwise...2/50 1 TD. Work him more into the offense, IMO. Hogan! We had a Hogan sighting! Dorsett's come back routes are becoming effective and it is how we should use him...he is so fast..that route is impossible to defend. And Patterson seems to have a role too...I like all pieces we have now at WR.

g.) DL....hope Malcolm Brown is OK. I thought the DL was solid. There was no run game to defend against though and we mostly rushed 3 or 4. I'd like more pressure....but we didn't look terrible last night.

h.) I think Hightower isn't there just yet.....he looked tired/heavy to me yesterday when he tried to blitz. KVN looking good to me. Didn't see Roberts out there much.

i.) The secondary needs to work on covering tight ends...then again it was obvious that the game plan was to shut down the Colts' WR's. And while McCourty came up with a nice snatch TO on Wilkins...I still want to see MORE from Devin other than being a tad bit late on completions.

j.) Offensively, this was a great game for McDaniels...everybody touched the ball...we used all weapons. Scored 38 points against a decent defense.

k.) Defensively...not too bad. We have now allowed 31 points in two games with 14 of those being in garbage time. Yes, it was concerning how Andrew Luck still moved the ball regardless.....but again...Luck is a great QB who extended plays with his feet and threw into tight windows most of the night.

He is not my guy.

I am just telling you the reality that is visible on the broadcast tape. What you call getting burned, I call out-leveraged and never in a position to make a play. Put please come into the rewatch thread and give us an explanation what a player who is not "a JAG backup" should have done. 3 or 4 of the catches he gave up are there in GIFs to be dissected.

Please explain or stop throwing ****.

He simply could not effectively cover a 1 legged gimp of a TE or his backup. All the evidence you need is that the Colts successfully targeted him the entire 2nd half. They noticed he's a weak link...why can't you?

If you call DMAC “your guy,” you aren’t a real Pats fan. He belongs to all Pats fans. As a member of the team, he is one of us. You can’t be a fan of 52 guys and not DMAC.

Front of jersey...not the back.

Why are you here? Why are any of us here? Come on Jack...we don't want to get into a deep philosophical discussion in this forum. We all know there is nothing in this world more useless than those who study philosophy. Why do we want to dive into this in a sports forum?

Are you a Patriots fan?

Was DMC moved from corner to safety because of his versatility, or because he was terrible at corner?

He was moved to safety because Gregory and Chung were injured, Tavon Wilson was garbage in his time here and the team traded for Talib.

He was never "terrible" as corner. Also he is playing more SS than CB right now so I have no clue what your point is.

Again you are being intellectually lazy. I am not asking for fantasy football advice.

I am asking you what he should have done in those specific situations that would have given a better result. Because I don't see much he did wrong unless you start are claiming that he was playing the wrong technique repeatedly and the coaching staff got one drag too many from Gordons stash to realize what was happening.

Please stop being vague and be specific.

There doesn't appear to be much danger of that happening in this case.

So you claim DMac as a safety - - "I never thought he was anything more than average to slightly-above average even in his best years,.""

But, you are unaware of what type of corner he was??? Yeah....that's it.

McCourty was excellent at corner as a rookie.
He played the go route as well as anyone ever has for a season and had a bunch of ints.
In his second year he struggled on that go route, created maybe 6-7 plays for big gains, but otherwise was the same guy.
Had he stayed at corner I see no reason he wouldn’t have corrected the issue, but he was needed at safety.

Just the type who disappears whenever the team is doing well and resurfaces when they aren't, or sporadically to **** on players you don't like? What sort of fandom is that?

Devin McCourty is 100% unlikeable. You can't have the weak link in your secondary doing the pregame motivational speech. He just comes across like a tool.

Ah. Maybe preface your comment next time. Haha. Both times the receiver had the ball and delivered it to the defense on a silver platter. The Hogan one was particularly bad. Gronk gets a pass; defender just made a great play.

If I'm thinking of the same play I thought that the one on Gronk could have been called a reception and a fumble, but I could be wro... I could be wro... I could be wrong.

To people like you maybe. I don't see anything unlikable about him and the team (i.e. players and staff) that made him captain in his second year in the NFL definitely doesn't seem to see it that way. Maybe keep your biases away when you try to evaluate players.

There was nothing low key about that. It was very questionable. But if you’re going to make that throw to anyone, Gordon is the guy. He high-pointed it. And it’s also not as if Tom has never made those throws. Even in ‘07 he routinely made those types of throws to Moss.

I think that pass was meant for Hogan but was way under thrown. The pass didn't look right as soon as it left his hand. There's no way of proving it unless I can get to torture Brady to answer though.

Gordon mentioned that he locked eyes with Brady for a fraction of a second and felt like the pass was meant for him. If this was for Hogan then it might have been Brady's worst throw in years.

I have a problem with people who believe in mythical societal issues. McCourty is as likeable as Colin Kaepernick and just as ignorant. He's also a bad NFL football player.

Still waiting for you to point out what someone who is not a "bad NFL football player" should have done instead. Apart from vague generalities you have provided zero so far.

In fact, I feel pretty safe saying you have no clue whatsoever about how to evaluate players apart from the obvious (successful play, failed play) and your bias against this specific player clouds your opinion even further.
