Week 3 NFL Television Coverage, Bucs at Patriots

Once again fans of the Patriots in Connecticut get yet another reason to hate the Giants...

Ya it sucks but they're really not opting to air the Giants. FOX is NFC, the Giants are the local team for WTIC.

When the Pats and Giants are on at the same time on CBS, WFSB shows Patriots.

The only thing is this year the two times they are on CBS it doesn't coincide with a Pats game.

Actually they get double shafted this week.

Giants over the Pats in the early game (which yes, agreed, is business as usual).

Then for the late game they're subjected to the Jets-Bills game instead of the Colts-49ers.

I don't like Fox broadcasts, their announcers or production. Maybe I'm too used to CBS because I don't like NBC,NFLN or ESPN, either.

I don't mind ESPN for broadcasts, but don't like NBC or NFL Network. Fox needs to do something with that outdated robot bull****.

Seems like we get screwed 2 out of every 3 or 4 years at least once when the Pats are at home against an NFC team.

Most recently we had to go to a bar for the Falcons game, watched a stream of the Cardinals game, and I guess we'll be forced to stream this one, too. Too hard to go to the bar with a little kid.

It's a little annoying to have this come up again this year after dealing with the Cards game last year. It had been since 2009 that we had this happen.

I don't mind Fox overall; it's Pearl Buck the Giants lover that I can't stand.

I'll be off to the Bears Den in Hershey for the first time this season (missed the Buffalo game,
had to drive the kids to a feis). Get those Sam Adams Oktoberfests chilled, barkeeps.

I've heard about this conundrum (the specific station choosing to show NYG games instead) for the past week or two. To say that sucks would be a serious understatement.

Here's hoping that you can either find somewhere else to watch another channel carrying the game, or know someone with a Directv Sunday ticket hookup.

First thing when I look at the schedule for the season is see if any NFC team is visiting the Patriots the same time the giants are either playing an NFC team or visiting an AFC team.

I was actually going to see where CT Patsfans are headed. There's a decent little pub dealio in West Hartford called McFaddens I went to last year. I might hit it up again. If anyone else goes there, I'm the dude in the Faulk throwback jersey.

For one game out of 1-2 years or more? That doesn't make a lot of sense, really. This happened in 2009, then 2012, and then this year. That's all I've seen since I moved here. It doesn't happen much, but it's a damned inconvenience when it does.

Here in Agawam (Springfield area) they have the Pats game listed as the one they are showing. If 1:00 rolls around and the Giants are on I will certainly be pissed!

I have DirecTV and the Sunday Ticket. It's worth the extra money to me because I like to keep tabs on the other games, especially AFCE or others that might impact the Patriots, especially as it gets down to making the playoffs.

I can switch over to specific games during time outs or commercial breaks, etc during the Patriots game and see what else is going on. I can also watch other games than what CBS/FOX is offering in my area for both early & late games, so there's that.

It isn't for everyone, but I like it.
