Jones never looked and he did it twice. The QB's job is to identify the Mike and try to identify the defense and make adjustments based on that. The o-line and the TEs (at least in some cases with the TE) is responsible for identifying the blocking assignments. There is only so much a QB can do in the 10-20 seconds or so between time the offense gets to the line and the ball is snapped.
And Brady has had his fair share of unblocked blindside free rushes to him over the years.
The one problem I see with Jones' pocket presences is that he tends to try to buy time by moving backwards. Unfortunately, that will move him right in the direction of the defender on plays where the tackles use the defender's momentum to drive them beyond the pocket.
Don't know whose fault it was but my initial reaction was Mac should have seen the defensive lineup, made a blocking change, move Henry inside. I didn't think Brown could have reached the blitzer. I imagine every TV watcher could see what was happening but it looked like Mac never looked there pre snap.I get that. No communication between Henry and Brown. Henry could have chipped to delay the rush. Brown, however, doesn’t seem to have recognized there was an outside blitzed at all. He had L guard help on the guy he chose to block as I recall. Blame to go around on that play.

First time where he got pancaked for a sack, but he held on to the ball. Second time for the walk in Miami TD.
Dont worry because all the other NFL teams saw what happened so you will see it again.
Not being a wise-ass, but who does call out assignments? I have always been under impression that QBs made protection adjustments at line of scrimmage when needed? So teams have found out that Jones is susceptible to a blindside blitz by a CB who isn't even touched? He might be the only QB in the league with that weakness.
Stop it. I know you hate Jones and Belichick, but stop going to ridiculous lengths to beat up on Jones. Jones had his issues on Sunday. Some are concerning if they start to be a trend.
But the o-line not being able to pick up a blitzer is not on him. That was either on Henry or Brown for that strip sack. The QB doesn't call out line blocking assignments.

We were running the playclock down a lot under 5 seconds don't remember doing that much with Brady. I don't think the Offense is at an advantage running the playclock down to the very end.The center usually is the one in charge of calling out the blocking assignments and adjustments, but it is usually communication between all the linemen. But you start having everyone calling the assignments, it can turn into a cluster bleep. If the QB sees a defender uncovered, he will shout it out. But it isn't usually his responsibility and he may not be looking to see if all the defenders on the line have someone to block them. He needs to see a lot on the field before the snap and doesn't always have the time to see all the blocking assignments.

Seems like Mac was telling guys where to line-up that looked very worrisome with so little time. I understand but with this transition Offense that's how Teams get false starts and offsides.Running down the play clock can go either way depending on the situation in terms of advantage. By running down the play clock, the defense can give a tell or expose their disguised coverages and/or blitzes just as much as it gives the defense more time to prepare for the play. And the Dolphins disguised a lot of their blitzes and rushes.
But there were times under Brady where he would let the clock run down.
But it was the first game with a new system and play caller. If the issue was getting the plays in fast enough, that will improve over time.
